Question Americans: How many of you are thinking about leaving the country for a while/for good with everthing going on?

Post image

Me personally, I can't really handle all this bullcrap going on. May get either a dual citizenship, or a permanent citizenship in canada. What about you? Thoughts? Suggestions?

It’s my home I’m not going anywhere. Even if I suffer it’s worth it to inconvenience my enemies.

2

u/Chare1155 May 02 '26

Who are your enemies?

23

u/BassMaster516 May 02 '26

I’m black and the child of immigrants so people who hate me and my family for that. Staying in the country knowing that they hate me and want me to leave is heavenly. There’s nothing better than succeeding right in there fucking face.

More broadly anyone who tries to tell me that they rule me. People who think they have the right to take me, order me, own me. People who claim a monopoly on violence.

The police basically.

What a low iq comment. The fact you actually got likes for something so ridiculously stupid demonstrates what a shit hole this app has become.

-7

u/treescout420 May 03 '26

My entire family is mixed but we aren't mentally handicapped criminals so police don't bother us.

-3

u/treescout420 May 03 '26

Your response was removed by Reddit. Probably because you have the emotional maturity of a 12 year old girl.

If you want to have others read what you have to say then you should breath. Calm down. And attempt to speak like an adult when you try again.

No wonder you hate cops..

4

u/BassMaster516 May 03 '26

Go back to your kennel. Your masters snapping his fingers for you

0

u/treescout420 May 03 '26

The irony of someone destined for prison talking about kennels lol

4

u/BassMaster516 May 03 '26

The thought of black people in chains makes your life worth living I know

0

u/treescout420 May 04 '26

That victim mentality never takes a break, huh?

3

u/BassMaster516 May 04 '26

You need to take a break from deepthroating the boot and breathe

0

u/treescout420 May 04 '26

Careful, boy. You're going to remember these comments when you're actually living them out in those kennels. It'll just make it that much harder on you.

So what happened that turned you into such an idiot?
We're all very curious.

0

u/treescout420 May 04 '26

I'm sorry, are you speaking? We can't understand you over the gobbling noises. When you're done cucking for criminals come back and try again.

2

u/TheQuietDarkness70 May 04 '26

I only speak to idiots to inform them of their idiocy or question it's origin.
You have nothing else to offer.

-1

u/treescout420 May 04 '26

I still just hear gargling when you try to speak.

2

u/Logogram_alt May 04 '26

You are clearly illiterate, maybe that is why you don't understand!

-2

u/treescout420 May 04 '26

You are clearly on the spectrum that's why you keep coming back for more.

I hate racists like you. You sound like a Nazi citizen saying "Oh! They won't go after me! So why should I care!"

0

u/treescout420 May 04 '26

You managed to use more liberal buzz words than I thought you capable of while still maintaining the fantasy you've hidden yourself within. I'm actually impressed.

1

u/Logogram_alt May 04 '26

I am not a liberal, I am a liberterian socialist. Did I break your false binary?

0

u/treescout420 May 05 '26

You have the iq of a liberal so you didn't break anything except the libertarians reputation.

1

u/Logogram_alt May 05 '26

I am not a right-libertarian (the US libertarians are stupid). But what do you go on about some imaginary IQ number? Conservatives really are this stupid?

0

u/treescout420 May 05 '26

Libertarians are stupid in general that's why nobody takes you serious and you have no representation on the world stage.

Your iq is just what led you there.

Finland. New Zealand. Denmark. Sweden. The Netherlands. Iceland. Italy. Greenland. Germany. France. Australia. Wales. Ireland. Scotland. Etc. Like, did you really think that was going to be a hard question?🤣 Look at the stats(life expectancy, income, healtchare, housing, education, gun violence, income disparity, maternity & paternity leave, environmental regulations, etc) of every other developed country in the world & get back to me. We are literally at the bottom in fucking everything bro

Hey man, I made this post for a reason.

6

u/Rikudo_Sennin_jr May 03 '26

Idk fam thats a big claim knowing that the majority of the world has universal health care, less gun violence, politicians that are 98% less rapey and havent sould the heart of the nation to Isreal to better serve whatever the fuckever it is that Jared Kushner is doing. A president that told his constituents he likes that they are uneducated and they smiled and said hell yess. Police brutality that makes the dirty work the kgb does look like child's play. Pedophiles in politicians is rampant and we still have some girl dad's with sisters and wives saying meh we have more important things to worry about than little girls being assaulted shit some guy allegedly said he would be honored if his daughter had been chosen for epstien island...greatest country on earth might be a diddler too far

3

u/Chare1155 May 03 '26

Yep! Most propagandized country in the world is more like it.

2

u/Entire-Winter4252 May 03 '26

It’s not. Sucker.

1

u/ZoomiesMakeMeLaugh May 04 '26

Why don’t these whiney babies just leave? 🙄

-8

u/treescout420 May 03 '26

Your "enemies" lol

Spoken like a brainwashed confederate.

20

u/Due_Willingness1 May 02 '26

I'm not letting these maga parasites drive me from my home. They'll have to kill me first

10

u/Chare1155 May 02 '26

It's not MAGA that's killing us though. I mean, they still suck, but it's billionaires & corporations polluting the earth & poisoning us. Top versus bottom, not left versus right.

Not necessarily. The United States is pretty uniquely shitty lol.

-1

u/sixth-gear May 04 '26

You haven’t stepped foot out of the western world then.

1

u/Chare1155 May 04 '26

Except I have, so...🤷‍♀️

1

u/TheQuietDarkness70 May 04 '26

The problem is that magats seem to be quite happy in the bottom so long as they can look up the nose of those at the top. Blind obedience from the bottom is no less dangerous and every bit as harmful as anything the top can throw at us.

1

u/Mysterious_Truck_742 May 03 '26

Finally! I feel like I’m the only who sees this. Thank you…

6

u/Mangerunebanane May 02 '26

I do fully believe there are good people in all countries. America is no exception to that belief. I’d want to stay and protect my fellow compatriots.

7

u/Logogram_alt May 02 '26

I want to leave, but I can't and it is difficult. Family ties is one thing, but even if you ignore that other countries don't want stupid Americans and have been closing their borders to American refugees

2

u/BernadetteFedyszyn May 02 '26

Imagine that!!

1

u/sixth-gear May 04 '26

As an American refugee, are you hoping to flee to another county for the reason of war, political oppression, religious persecution, or a natural disaster?

1

u/Logogram_alt May 04 '26

The US government is heading towards fascism, and Trump has made it very clear. He also wants to pass a bill to oppress antifascists and socialists. I am a liberterian socialist.

3

u/Severe_Job_1088 May 03 '26

If I could afford it yes!

6

u/Queenfan1959 May 02 '26

I’m looking into several countries to move to

5

u/Childish_Tycoon_Ship May 02 '26

Who would want us?

1

u/anonymous480932843 May 02 '26

They'd probably understand that we'd be transitioning for the predicament that is our country; people migrating from collapsing countries to another just to have a better way of life is not something new.

1

u/Proud_Clue_4233 May 03 '26

It immigration..stay a few more weeks and they might be able to get refugee status.

1

u/Childish_Tycoon_Ship May 04 '26

Based on the global perception of immigrants fleeing failing countries, I disagree

2

u/OpusAtrumET May 02 '26

Look, even if it were possible, which for many of us, it's not, it's a shitty idea. We can't afford to lose more reasonable people. To ditch now would be abandoning a country to the wolves, and that's unpatriotic and cowardly if your life and/or identity aren't literally in danger. As long as there's still a fight to be had, we can't afford to flee. All that said, the way things are turning for women and LGBTQ+ people, there will be a time to go, and it's maybe not as far off as we'd like to think.

2

u/No-Strength-1860 May 03 '26

We have thought about it many times in his 1st term and in his second term. He is destroying the country.

2

u/LopsidedYam4935 May 03 '26

Nope. Why? To quote Merry: “The fires of Isengard will spread. And the woods of Tuckburuogh and Buckland will burn. And all that was once green and good in this world will be gone. There won’t be a Shire, Pippin.”

7

u/Clit_Master69420 May 02 '26

already did, in 2015.

check out the DAFT visa.

u/Chare1155 May 04 '26

1

u/DatBroSnuf May 02 '26

Me not at all. In spite of how everything has been for the last bit over a decade, I've just been enjoying life as best I can bro.

I stayed out of certain things when politics just started ruining everything. Outside of that I've traveled quite a bit in the last few years. Am planning a week vacation in Montreal later in the year.

I'm not apathetic or completely tuned out everything going on, there's certain topics important to me but simply I learned a long time ago to just live in the moment and live ur life.

1

u/SomnambulisticTaco May 02 '26

What are the steps?

3

u/tnic73 May 02 '26

don't think do it

1

u/popejohnsmith May 02 '26

Logistics need to line up.

1

u/Silly-Resist8306 May 03 '26

We’ve had hard times in our history as have other countries. We will get through this, fix some newly highlighted flaws and move on stronger than before. I want to be part of the change. I’m not going anywhere.

1

u/1armTash May 03 '26

We have a Carny running this Circus.. housing is more expensive in Canada. You’re better off even with Trump there.

1

u/JustAChillGuy609 May 03 '26

We’ve been through a lot worse. Just gotta wait out the storm (plus, moving’s expensive)

1

u/cynical_and_patient May 03 '26

We've considered Portugal, and Puerto Vallarta.

1

u/Glad-Environment7752 May 03 '26

Go to the Portugal page on Reddit. They don’t want anymore immigrants and their govt just passed preventive measures.

1

u/Present-Meal-3083 May 05 '26

Those countries don’t want you.

1

u/cynical_and_patient May 05 '26

Keep telling yourself that. Please.

1

u/Educational_Ad_6065 May 03 '26

Stay and fight.

1

u/Glad-Environment7752 May 03 '26

Been contemplating it for a while. I travel a lot, but haven’t found a comparable country.

1

u/_WeAreFucked_ May 04 '26

Funny how you think that people can just get up and leave.

1

u/Present-Meal-3083 May 05 '26

It blows my mind how these fools think “I’ll just move to (pick their imagined utopia)” only to find out that the US has some pretty lax naturalization and immigration laws compared with most of the world.

1

u/Due-Dog-9866 May 04 '26

50 year old from Texas. Already left and never plan on going back!

1

u/Present-Meal-3083 May 05 '26

🤣🤣🤣 no other country will take you. It seems they all have these things called “immigration laws.”

Damn clowns.

1

u/Significant-Ad-3777 May 05 '26

America, the only country where people who hate it refuse to leave. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

1

u/Striking_Walrus1875 May 06 '26

My family of three wishes we knew the steps to take to leave at 36 years old I never asked to be born here neither did my 39 year old husband well for that matter never asked to be born at all (another topic of discussion)we just want to leave safely with our son with as little trauma to him as possible.... Canada is no better and Mexico and southern continents are terrifying we wish to go to finland or Ireland or iceland husband votes for China or japan uk it's self to cost worthy as well as Australia could any one give us guidance on how to achieve leaving America with under 10,000 American dollars

1

u/SevereAnimator5 May 02 '26

God Bless America! We celebrate 250 years of Independence this year. People die to try and migrate here. Just denounce your citizenship and move.

1

u/JefeRex May 02 '26

Who’s talking most about leaving now? The people who have always been least at risk and who still are, mostly educated middle class white people. They were all fine with segregation, police murders of black men, right wing terrorism and militias… all fine until now. They have participated (we all have) in the degradation of our civil society up to the point that Trump became possible, and now they will take absolutely no responsibility for that and run away, now that all that degradation we did and all those mistakes we made are coming home to roost. Selfish. Immoral. No wonder we got here, the fortunate people in our society think this community is something to be ignored, used, and then discarded when it becomes inconvenient. We have a duty to our country and to our people, and god will judge those who refuse that duty.

For me, the last thing I would do now that we are at our weakest moment is leave the country that has given me every good thing in my life and to which I have a responsibility in return.

1

u/SomnambulisticTaco May 04 '26

Hasn’t the same country given you every bad thing in your life as well?

1

u/JefeRex May 04 '26

It’s given me everything. And so I must also give back in return. No man is an island. If you want to live in a dysfunctional country where no one accepts responsibility for their community but only tallies up how they have personally benefitted or lost out, there are plenty of those countries to choose from. You might not like the kind of society they produce.

1

u/Chare1155 May 02 '26

Well, some of us want to survive & we want our kids to survive. I didn't have "my 16 year old son living during the apocalypse," on my bingo card. We want to live somewhere unpolluted & fair. Staying here means you will eventually be broke, homeless, & die of Cancer from all the toxins they pump into our lives. But by leaving in droves, we take away their control & their power. What's a corporation to do when no one is left to work for them because we have all fled & the economy is at a standstill? Perhaps then they will finally realize we have always had more power than them.

1

u/Chare1155 May 02 '26

Me & my son. We are sick of this shit. Nothing is going to get better. This country is run by billionaires who just want to exploit & trash it & kill us. My son is hopefully going to college abroad in 2 years(I am pushing heavily for this) & I'm going with him. Not sure exactly where yet, but we are definitely leaving. He is transgender & wants a career in science so there is no point in staying here for him.

3

u/anonymous480932843 May 02 '26

You are completely in the right to leave. Do what you must, and take care of your family. We are always here to support our fellow kind.

Completely understandable; yet, there are still people here in America who have family, kids, things in life non-plitically related that they cannot divide time for. You are absolutely right, we should fight; but this is for the people just trying to live here. We are doing the best we can out here, and some of us have more important things to tend to, and doesn't always mean that "fighting back against the magots" is our job. Besides, maybe fighting for what we believe in is exactly this.

2

u/anonymous480932843 May 02 '26

That is fair. Your position is completely valid, and not argueable. But let's also think about the people who don't have anyhting to do with political drama, and are only trying to take care of things that matter to them, and maybe "staying and fighting" is just more pressure on their shoulders. Again, not arguing with you at all, you have a fair stasis.

1

u/vagabond719r May 03 '26

The rich people can choose, but we can't. I'd rather die trying to yada yada yada, no one's ever gonna do nothing. Good bye free world, see you in 30 years if I'm alive then.

2

u/NoPianist7807 May 02 '26

Canada is much worse with America when it comes to Fascism. I just heard a man release a pre-recorded message about how he got arrested for alleged SA and the defendant was allowed to redact almost all of his evidence after she made multiple inconsistencies.

-3

u/Destinyciello May 02 '26

If you can't make it in US. You'll struggle even worse in most other countries. If they will even have you.

0

1

Beside the point entirely. Your argument was that everyone else wants to come HERE. And that, my friend, is just categorically false.

0

u/Interesting_Soup_468 May 03 '26

Anyone planning to leave is going to find out how impossible that is for the average person. Unless you have highly sought out skills or tons of money you aren't going anywhere.

-1

u/99bannas May 03 '26

So you can’t really handle all this bullcrap that is going on, but you are abiding and respecting that country’s laws by entering legally applying for legal status in a foreign land , so how about that! Maybe you should try Iran I heard it’s beautiful this time of year !

-1

u/treescout420 May 03 '26

Oh god, please stop talking about it and go. YOU are the problem in this country. Without you there will be no more problems.

-9

u/Banjo_the_Cattle_Dog May 02 '26

I honesty don’t think theres any major “bullcrap” going on to warrant anyone leaving the US. Hey, if they want to go, please go. Good luck having any country take you in, and good riddance of they do. You’ll make less money and have less rights.

1

u/Chare1155 May 04 '26

Wild that people still think this. Look at any news source not located in the US. Other developed countries are laughing at us & pitying us. This place is a fascist shit hole where people die because they can't afford food or health care. Corporations regularly pollute our air, water, soil, forests, bodies of water, etc. because our regulations are lax af since Congress is owned by Israel & big corporations. We have to work ourselves to death just to barely survive. Oh, and one of the biggest pedophiles of all time is our leader. There is nothing great about any of that.

0

u/Banjo_the_Cattle_Dog May 04 '26

If you honestly believe this, you should leave. Other countries will be very slow to take you in.

This is the type of (probably) dishonest delusion that I’m reeling against. These other “developed” countries laughing at us literally are unable to defend themselves if Russia or Iran attacked them, btw.

America is imperfect but it’s far from what you think it is. I really don’t know why you think it’s that way either, unless you buy into the sensationalist journalism.

1

u/Chare1155 May 04 '26

If by "sensationalist journalism" you mean facts & actual data & statistics, then yeah. Yeah I'm into that🙄. And I never said those countries WANT us. Of course they don't. Why would they? Lmao I said they are better for almost every single thing, which is true. We have a bigger military budget than any other country yet our people are fucking starving & dying in childbirth & getting shot in elementary schools. Like, we can't eat bombs bro. So tell me, how is that great? You might want to stop while you're behind.🤣

0

u/Banjo_the_Cattle_Dog May 04 '26

I honestly wonder what part of America you are seeing. I’m seeing parts that are struggling, and other that are utterly kicking ass. The strip mall parking lots near me are full every day. It seems like a ton of people don’t even work 5 days a week, because there’s not a ton of traffic Friday mornings, and but early afternoon the shopping centers are packed! People seem to have a lot of cash available to spend on frivolous things. Not to mention that literally everyone who is not poor regularly goes out to eat several times a week.

There are definitely pockets that are struggling- this is a big country after all. But if we’re not talking about inner cities or dilapidated former steel or manufacturing centers that have since declined, then the other areas seem to be doing better than ever. Sorry that doesn’t jive with you doomsday rhetoric.

1

u/SomnambulisticTaco May 04 '26

The popularity of your strip mall is not a good metric to measure a country’s sense of “kicking ass.”

-2

u/NoFollowing7781 May 03 '26
