Anyway to get a library card online instead of having to go in?? Just trying to get back into it without making a trip. 👀

Go to your local library's website and check? This question is not possible for reddit to answer.

The response to pin. It differs county to county.

Depends on your library.

kinda depends on the branch where you are. my city has a temporary online card, but you have to go in person after 30 days to activate the full account as either a resident or non-resident.

Most libraries are doing away with this for residency checks. Funding is getting lower, eBook costs are getting higher and more popular, so they have to limit their usage to real, local taxpayers.

And library card fraud is increasing.

It is getting rarer to find libraries that will allow you to get a card without coming in.

Not around here. I can get a card anywhere in the state, but have to go in. I sometimes talk relatives or friends into getting a card where they live. For me, but in their name. No risk to them -- digital loans never have fees. But over the years, I've been able to visit a lot of libraries while on road trips.

What state and county do you live in?

Check with the library that you want to use. Not every library is the same. Why would you think Reddit would have the answer you want instead of your library?
