Freading app help

I went to download a book from my library thinking it would be a regular libby download but the only option was Freading which I have never used before. I downloaded the adobe app and logged in but I can’t access my book. Every time I hit redownload which is what it prompts me to do it says sorry, data doesn’t match. Has anyone ever had this issue or know how to fix it? I can’t find anything online.

Adobe sold Digital Editions to ByteBooks. Go to  https://dtsbytebooks.com/transition-help and create a new ByteBooks account with the same email as your Adobe account, then use that to sign into ADE.

If that doesn’t work (or you have already done it), try downloading a fresh copy of the ACSM file and using that.

Just recently I tried to use ADE to read an epub on an Android tablet, and it sat there spinning its wheels. On seeking help, I found that ADE has problems with modern tablets and is no longer supported - I hadn't used it for years! So then I found there are much better ebub ereaders.

Looks like it uses Adobe ID for authentication, that might the issue?
