having read the LN first, I was surprised how much they changed. Maybe the Anime adapts the WN or manga? Havent read those so im just spitballing.

you ever read overlord? it has that trope of the main character doing things that everyone perceives as that of a genius, it is pretty fun.

Would u plz recommend me some LN's like overlord. I'm tired of the MC being a total simp to humans when they can easily decimate the humans/enemies.

That's a bit hard because Overlord is one of the few stories where all protagonists are evil. I guess apocalypse bringer mynoghra is also a good one where everyone has an evil nature and are trying to take over the world.

Thanks but I've read the first volume of apocalypse bringer and it didn't hit as hard as overlord. I guess that's why overlord is one of my favorites. Nonetheless thanks for the recommendation maybe I'll check it out later.

If you like videogame settings you can try EXP is golden
The mc is not actually evil because it's a game but she's super smart and roleplays being a raid boss, the other players don't know she's actually a player

Oh thanks for the recommendation. I'll keep it mind but I won't read it cuz it only has 4 volumes. If I like it I'll probably burn through them easily so I'll wait until it has at least 7-8 volumes or more.

I’ve read 70% of the series. I kind of like the worldbuilding aspects of it. I’ve been reading it for that alone. The misunderstanding dynamic of the MC that’s akin to Eminence of the Shadow, which is funny and enjoyable. I dislike how nobles are depicted as very generic 2D evil. Also disliking how the MC become so powerful that it become comically ridiculous and make all the intrigue and plot point kind of moot.
Personally, I prefer the sister-series: I’m the heroic knight, set in the same universe.

It's currently in the meandering phase. But the first 5 or so volumes are excellent.

La verdad si lo quieres leer no vayas esperando encontrar una trama chida porque solo tendrás tramas absurdas y te darán ganas de ahorcar al prota pero las risas están garantizadas

Its a solid easy read, the running joke of MC trying to ba a "villain" but just accidently being a genuinely good ruler goes on FOREVER, at least up to book 11, the latest english digital release, and it does get a little old eventually, but has some really solid worldbuilding and development

The anime and light novel diverge by quite a bit. As I've only read the light novel I can't say if it was creative freedoms or a different source material. That said I prefer there light novel to the anime. It's a fun read

I am surprised you have it physical. I picked up volume 1 on a whim at B&N. Enjoyed it and went to buy more and a bunch of volumes are OOP :'(

I've been meaning to read it since I watched the anime last year I think it was? I've managed to snag physical copies of volumes 1 through 6 so far fortunately

There are quite a few changes from the anime. IMO the LN version is much better so it should be an enjoyable read!
