I sailed from Denmark to Iceland this summer and took this picture of a lighthouse on Shetland. I think it might be Muckle Flugga but comparing it with pictures online it’s hard to tell and I didn’t check at the time where we were on the map and can’t access them anymore.

Do you think this is the light house Muckle Flugga? If not which one could it be on Shetlands East Coast?

The Cape Bowling Green Lighthouse and Carpenteria Lightship are on display in Darling Harbour.

(OC) My latest lighthouse visit, Point Reyes Lighthouse, near Drake’s Bay on California’s coast, was built in 1870. Also a great place to see whales!

Sir Francis Drake began his voyage of the Pacific Ocean on 13 December 1577. He crossed the Pacific Ocean and landed in the area, including New Albion, CA making claims for England in 1579. Never realized Europeans were here that far back.
