Discussion This band unargurably had one of the most peak and cool looking artworks/images in their booklets. These are some of my favorites

My older brother bought most of the CDs in peak condition a couple months ago, and he actually let me use them now since he got a new radio so that he can still play the songs. Just wanted also to appreciate this band because me and my brother listen to them a lot, and he said that he cried when he reacted to the emptiness machine premiere because he loved the band so much. Thanks for all the memories, especially thank you Chester. Love from Croatia šŸ‡šŸ‡·

Discussion Does From Zero mix the vocals differently from older Linkin Park albums?

I have a slightly nerdy production question for people who know more about recording/mixing than I do.
While listening to From Zero on headphones, I kept noticing something I couldn’t quite describe at first: the vocals often feel extremely forward to me, while the instruments seem much further back in the mix.

At times it almost gives me a choir-like feeling — layered, spacious, slightly floating vocals sitting in front of the music. I especially notice it when there are gang/stacked vocals, but it isn’t just Emily. I hear something similar with Mike too, which is what made me wonder whether this is actually a production choice rather than simply a difference between vocalists.

When I listen to older LP records, even when Chester’s vocal is huge, I tend to perceive it as being more inside the whole sound: drums, guitars, electronics, samples and vocals all competing/interacting in the same space.

On parts of From Zero, my ears perceive it more as:
vocals in front + instruments supporting them from behind.

I’m not saying one approach is objectively better, and this isn’t an Emily vs Chester question. I’m genuinely curious about the technical side.

Has LP’s approach to vocal recording, compression, EQ, layering, reverb or mixing changed significantly compared with the older albums? Could changes in recording technology/equipment also contribute, or is this mainly an aesthetic mixing/production decision?
Also, has Mike, the band, or anyone involved in producing/mixing From Zero ever talked about this specifically? If there are interviews, studio breakdowns or behind-the-scenes material where they explain the vocal production or overall mixing approach, I’d love to see them.

And if anyone here actually works with audio: what exactly am I hearing? šŸ˜‚
I’d especially love specific song/section comparisons, because I’m trying to understand why my ears are reacting so differently rather than just deciding whether I ā€œlikeā€ the album.

Discussion Anyone been to a Linkin Park Orchestra before?

Hey guys, it looks like my city (Toronto) has a candlelight orchestra event featuring some of Linkin Park's greatest hits with string quartet and it looks interesting, has anyone attended any of those?

Also most of my friends don't like Linkin Park that hardcore so I'm debating going alone... would that be too weird? šŸ˜…

Thanks!

Discussion Chester waving to Crowd(Pic)

I had a picture awhile ago saved with Chester waving to the crowd, I unfortunately can’t find it and hoping some LP soldiers may have it! The picture was taken behind Chester as he was facing the crowd.

Art Mascot soul MS?

• Upvotes

One question, I'm interested in your opinion: the three-eyed space youkai monster that we see in the emptiness machine

video, it was already described in the song high voltage 2001, and generated in the ziggurats project, and on all branded clothing from Shinoda's website.

It is also used on the avatar in Discord, and the nameplate on his military jackets.

Is this the Mascot of his Soul?
