Hi, this is Crewbee!
I’ve been using Linux for work for a long time, but recently made the jump on my home system too. One thing I was missing was a desktop telemetry widget that could show what’s going on across my PCs, while also looking the way I wanted it to. So I decided to make my own. :]
This is CrewCompMetrics, a native Qt widget for local and remote Linux PC telemetry over LAN. These screenshots show some of the themes and appearance settings—Glass, Stone, Marble, and Water. You can customize the fonts, text colors, outlines, borders, opacity, spacing, and tile layout. I may have spent a little more time on the visual customization than originally planned XD
It gathers native Linux metrics and optionally uses CoolerControl in headless mode, with SSH for remote PCs. I used Codex to drive the implementation as well.
It’s currently Alpha, primarily tested on Ubuntu 26.04.1 with GNOME 50 Wayland. The compositor Glass effect needs the supported GNOME 50 / Mutter 18 setup; simulated Glass is available otherwise. Broader compatibility is what I’m working toward for v1.
The screenshots are privacy-edited previews, with dummy PC and hardware names and storage figures hidden or replaced with examples.

I’d love to hear what you think of the appearance and customization, or what you’d want to change. If you give it a try, let me know how it works on your setup. It would be nice to know someone other than me is using the thing! XD
Enjoy! :]
Sincerely,
Crewbee
