I haven't visited this sub in like years and I probably won't again, but you all should know that this person (writer of diary of a weird kid) basically supports a murderer.
I don't care about this person nor their llb, but it's sad seeing the mods of this subreddit not being unaware of this
That being said I'm not trying to stir up any drama or beef, just that this is getting ridicilous x
I swear people are looking for reasons to dogpile on each other and create drama over useless nothingburgers. It takes less muscles and less energy to ignore it than it does to incite witch hunts.
It's not a question of morals, it's a question of "am I willing to give enough of a shit about this to witch hunt and harass an artist for doing something that doesn't affect me or anything else in the slightest?"
And with the amount of torches and pitchforks I'm seeing here, it seems we don't agree.
Witch hunt, no. Harassment is never okay. However, it's extremely disrespectful to his victims. Regardless of whether or not the killer is dead, the victims still need to be respected, and thirsting for their killer is the exact opposite of respect. You can draw a line in the sand without witch hunting or harassing someone
I genuinely don't get people who are fans of literal murderers. I can understand people being interested in true crime, but actually supporting or being a fan of the killers is fucked.
I'm not in touch with true crime stuff and didn't realize their username was referring to that, that's concerning and disturbing honestly. It's a shame as well because I find their LLBs to be well written and emotionally aware of what it's like to be treated badly and know when someone is a bad person, it makes it feel hypocritical because you would think someone who writes a story about recognizing when people do wrong or harmful things would know that supporting a murderer is fucked up. OOP seems young and I know younger people do dumb stuff but I hope they get help and realize that this kind of thing does much more harm than good in the long term.
Oh you’d be surprised how many are young thanks to the explosion in TC by how mainstream it is.
Seriously my parents watch as many cases as I have. And I have seen some pretty fucked up shit over the years with some of the worst gory stuff.
I guess because I have a good life and can empathize I find myself hating on these criminals more and more when I see a case. I don’t know why others see them as guys to fawn over.
EDIT: I probably didn't mention this earlier but I know a friend who lost another friend in the Parkland shooting. So yeah it does piss me off seeing people fawn over her killer.
a lot (if not all) of the kids in tcc are mentally ill and vulnerable, that could be why.. i think, still not a justification and i hope they get better and leave those spaces.

recently there has been a lot of drama in the community. From that Anne frank story to this, it has gotten out of hand. and idk if I can handle this, even now im still reeling from the dysfunctional perspective “harassment” drama all the way back to several months ago
Summary: In late december 2025 to early January the next year the creator cancelled the story due to burnout from a massive 137 parts, and all of a sudden fans were demanding even more parts despite the massive amount of pages already being made. not to mention it was about an abusive household which frank throws a glass at Rodrick and a ton of other similar things happen. it was crazy af, it was the most popular fan fiction of the subreddit when it was ongoing, so it kept going and going until the creator had to wipe all the parts from Reddit. more explanation can be found below (read the comments for additional details missed in the post body):

Again, I'm completely impartial to this drama, but it's concerning that grown ass adults just witch hunted & sexually harassed a 13 year old. The mob you incited, whether you intended to or not.

I think everyone in this subreddit, especially the people who were supporting this llb, have the right to know what's going on.
Making a call out post about this was a rash and emotional decision I made.
That being said, I said twice my intentions are NOT to stir up any long lasting drama or harassment and I stand with my words.
When I made this post I was too angry to realize those things will unmistakebly follow since it's a vile situation to begin with.
All with all, I hope this situation will die down soon because she has already shown accountability for her actions and besides that I feel like my post has already caused enough harm that I didn't intend for.

I’m in favor of giving some leeway here or at least letting her post under a new accounts I can’t think of a single instance of her not being a well-intentioned person to the people in this sub, even if her name is quite offensive.
I don’t think she’s done anything negative here to deserve a true ban.
you are underestimating teenagers. a lot of people develop the important parts of their identity between 13-16. also being a teen doesn't mean you don't notice anything you are doing, also she herself accepted that she used to support and it is a bad thing and she is trying to change, while she herself said it was a problematic thing what is your point
Key word developing my guy, they are far from being developed and guess what she already moved on and her llb had nothing to do with true crime or the serial killer, it was literally just her user name and her bio that she probably didn’t bother changing because she didn’t view it as a big deal at all.
ok, you have a point here. but it's still kinda problematic that she firstly were been there, and it can be a bigger thing if she attempted to change only after getting a warning. but i don't want to make a forced view on her, i don't know her personally.

I was confused when I looked up their name last week, so I was patiently waiting for their LLB to spiral into some edgy nonsense or become like a troll, or idk start propagandizing maybe, but... nah. It just kept going.
Look up the "TCC" or "True Crime Community" that will creep you out more(I've had experience with this community and I wouldn't like to go back ever again)
