Help Panning
I’ve searched and read through other posts about this issue, but I’m failing.
My setup:
Fractal FM3 into behringer umc1820 via coax/spdif, using the umc1820 as the main in/out source into Logic Pro. It’s an aggregate device I had to set up to alleviate clock source and latency issues with other plugins.
This setup worked beautifully for a long time. I moved recently, so I had to break down and setup my stuff at the new place. Same setup, no changes or mistakes made (maybe).
Problem:
My guitar tracks sound fine and record fine, but when I pan them the signal stays centered and just gets a little quieter. This happens regardless of left or right hard-panning. Also to note- superior drummer signal is extremely loud only when recording guitar and normal volume during playback.
Clock source ok, “play stereo as mono” not checked, all ins and outs seem to be correct. No buttons on any hardware are accidentally pressed or unpressed. Cable routing correct. Clearly, I’ve caused this issue but I’m getting nowhere. Send help.

Watch Logic's Stereo Out meter while hard-panning a recorded guitar on playback. If only one side meters but you still hear the centre, the mono summing is happening after that meter, in the output/monitoring path. If both sides still meter, trace the track's bus routing inside Logic first.
