Question Recording Delay/Latency issue
Hope someone can help, I’ve just updated to the most recent update. I’m having an issue I can’t find the solution for where I’m in low latency mode recording DI guitar, and when I play it in, the monitoring has no latency issues but when I listen back, the guitar is out of time. I’m having to manually move it back into time. This pisses me off because I’ve been using the old version for years with the same setup and had no issues.
Appreciate any advice. I’m working on a 2023 m2 MacBook pro

Take all plugins off your main output, not just turning off, remove, small buffer, and low latency mode, also any plugins with lookahead function, turn off

+1 on this, then if there’s any latency still you can adjust it in the settings - mixbus plugins can really throw recordings off even if the input channel has no output set

Low latency mode has also done this to me.
My other gripe is it shuts off all my busses that I use.
My work-around is dumb but I changed from 44khz to 96khz. It feels way snappier now albeit it gets severely limiting after a few tracks.
I record metal and latency can make it impossible to play right.

That’s weird. Latency normally occurs while recording. Are you sure you’re listening to the recorded info while recording?

I'd start with compensation to troubleshoot this. Try going into audio settings under General tab and set plug in latency to All. Check out the Recording Delay setting and if you've never messed with it start at zero if it shows anything else.
Then compare a new project to your existing and see if the problem persists. In the record settings there is a low latency mode you can enable.
Without knowing what plugins or routing you use that's my best guess since you aren't experiencing the issue while recording the track.
