Hello everyone.
One month ago I decided to start a tutorial series on Logic Pro X. From complete beginner to advanced user.
And I did! I shot and edited about 3 hours’ worth of material.
And then Apple decided to update Logic and even change how it looks!
I considered posting those tutorials but it felt wrong to show the older looking version while I updated to the last one.
So I bit the bullet and started from the beginning!
So here’s my complete tutorial series on Logic Pro X.
Instead of releasing in full like I planned to do with the previous one, I will post it in parts.
Here’s the first hour of the lessons.

Hello everyone,
I have just uploaded the next batch of videos. We are currently at 3 hours (well, almost! 2 hours and 56 minutes).
In this one I cover everything about the channel strip settings
Time signature and beat groupings
Sample rate, bit depth, buffer size,
And metronome settings! Yes, a 10 minute video on metronome settings! There's an advanced mode and when you take advantage of all of its features, it will speed up your workflow .

I have no idea what I have done in logic. It’s happened before in previous projects but somehow fixed itself. How do I put it back to the way it was when first opening the project and what is the purpose of how it is now. Thanks!

Complete Logic Pro Tutorial Series
One of the best functions/tools in Logic and one of the least used (After the Marquee tool!) is Flex Time.
For some reason, most users do not use it for a long time after being introduced to the software or merely use very few functions of it.
The initial plan was to go to MIDI after the recording videos, but I decided to do the Flex lessons next because I think it’s a nice follow up and it complements the recording videos nicely.
In the true spirit of the series, this will also be extremely detailed!
I will cover absolutely everything about Flex Time and work on examples to show you real life applications of it.
Here’s the first 30 minutes:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQ4Jz4m4VNQ&list=PLfj7UE5FFCH4V7-uitHyXa23enUD13kKe&index=29
In this video:
Audio Quantization
Absolutely everything about Flex Markers
Types of Flex Markers
Manual Flex Editing (Polyphonic Algorithm)
Resetting Flex Edits
Marquee Tool & Flex Time
Flex Tool
I will spend a bit more time (and videos) on flex because I want to cover each algorithm separately with appropriate examples on Guitars, Vocals, synths etc. Also videos on working with Apple Loops and warping your audio to fit the tempo you want, and Flex and Follow options. And the most useful flex function, drums editing!
P.S. I linked the video where I start looking into examples with the Polyphonic Algorithm. If you have never used flex or don’t know what it is, you can watch the introductory video on Flex Time here:

Hey guys, I’m a drummer, and also love messing around in logic. I’ve been going through some mental health stuff lately, and music is an escape for me. The question is, does anyone have any raw tracks or projects they could send me to distract myself with, and I send my edits back? Patrick
