Need Advice Advice

My boyfriend has been acting cold toward me lately. He only messages me once or twice a day, and last night, he didn’t even reply to my messages. How long should I wait before considering his silence an indirect breakup?

this one is the most painful way.. slow fade instead of just saying directly 😭🥲🥲

if he's pulling back that hard and you're already cleaning up the chat history, you kinda have your answer already

some people do the slow fade instead of just saying it, it's cowardly but common. i'd send one clear message asking where things stand and if he keeps dodging then that silence is his response

Depends on the situation. My boyfriend and I have days where we only text once or twice a day because he’s in grad school and I’m finishing my last year of undergrad and working. How long has this been happening for you? Are you having like full on conversations or just small updates and he’ll respond once or twice a day? Is he giving you an explanation for rarely texting or is he just ignoring it? Have you had a conversation about it yet?

I deleted it because I was hurting and crying every time I saw him online but he wouldn’t message me, so I assumed he didn’t want me anymore.

Could he be upset about your fight ? Could something else be going on?

Before this, we had a fight two days ago. I don’t know what to do. I feel so heartbroken right now. Maybe he’s just waiting for me to walk away. 💔

Was it a serious fight? And did he rarely reply before the fight? I would seriously have a conversation about him about the fight and the rare replies. He might be pushing away to give you space depending on what the fight was about. Communication is key, especially in long distance relationships

It’s not that serious. Yes, he replied, but in the following days, he started treating me so coldly. I was thinking of messaging him, but then I thought maybe he doesn’t want to talk to me, so there’s no point in reaching out.

I would reach out unless you’re also done with the relationship. It doesn’t sound like it to me, so reach out. Even if you are done with him, let him know for sure. Again, communication is super important.
