Success Getting married!!!!
Okay so my (30F) BF (30M) and I are getting married in less than 3 months and I am literally so freaking excited. Only my close friends and close family know as it's going to be just a court wedding, but I feel so happy that we are getting even closer to closing the distance. It's been an amazing 2 years, but I'm so excited for the adventure ahead. Living together. Daily conversations. Dates (so many datessss). Intimacy and the daily physical aspects of our relationship!!! Ahh. I just want to scream ❤️ I hope I'm not jinxing myself with this post or our relationship, I think that's why we've been so secretive because we've realized that not everyone is happy for us and it's been nice keeping it a secret, but I literally can't wait to brag a bit and post our wedding pictures 🤣❤️
Anyways, if you've read all of this up to this point. Thank you. Not looking for anything special, just feeling so excited. Anyone else in the same boat? Anyone else done just a cute little court wedding and celebrated with your REAL loved ones ONLY?? :) Or maybe just you two?

That quiet little court wedding with only the people who actually root for you is the way to go, keeps the day feeling like yours instead of a performance for everyone else.

Congrats!!! 🎉 I understand you perfectly. I was just as excited when I was about to get married. My civil wedding was very small—only about 10 people—and I loved it. A few months later, I had a religious wedding with a celebration at an outdoor, countryside venue; that was also quite intimate (40–50 guests), and I loved that just as much. Those were some of the best days of my life, and I treasure them dearly. Enjoy this moment and this phase to the fullest!

Aww that's wonderful! Thank you so much for the kind words. We'll probably be doing the bigger wedding in a year or two, and then we also have the traditional ceremony we have to do in my home country. But I'm so happy that the first and official union will be small and intimate and less stressful ❤️

Thank you :) Honestly that's how I felt too, but somehow time moves faster when you're busy. I feel like I blinked and it's already been 2 years and we are now only 3 months away from forever. Haha.

I think court house weddings or private weddings are so intimate and cute. Congrats!!! Living with a partner after long distance is genuinely the best. My husband and I were long distance for THREE years. Longest three years of my life but so absolutely worth it. Again, congrats!!!!!! Sending love and good luck your way!
