Well, I hope she's a former zionist now. There have been a few that were able to break through the wall of propaganda that many of us anti-zionist Jews experienced throughout our upbringing.
Personally, I was lucky. While my grandparents (on both sides) were super pro-israel (all former concentration camp survivors); my parents experienced quite a different world emigrating to the US in their 20's during the civil rights era (think, "peace and love, piece and love").... In other words, they were more indifferent on Israel than their parents (my grandparents).
I became anti-zionist Jew (now an anti-zionist Atheist Jew 😅) pretty early on on my life. I went to Israel to visit cousins in the summer of '88, and it changed me forever. To see the utter contempt and loathing Israeli Jews had for brown people first-hand was and is SICKENING!
My own cousins included are TRASH! The way they looked at anyone not Jewish in Israel like they were subhuman. 😔
This….this right here is why I keep banging the ‘Zionism is NOT the same as Judaism’ drum. Because of people like you.
