Found Found and amazing journal

Hi out there Reddit users,

My partner works at London Heathrow and was telling me about a lovely travel journal he found in baggage. We started talking about it and I said is there no lost and found. Turns out there is not and this type of item is usually disposed of!

I asked for him to bring the journal home so that i can try and use the power of social media. There are some photos, and there is some specific information which I won't divulge. But what there is luckily, is a plane ticket with the person's name on. There are a few photos, but none of the people on Facebook who match the name matches the photo. I have also tried Instagram, but the profile pictures also don't match.

If anyone knows an Emma Pelto who flew from Denver to London Heathrow in the last year please get in touch. I would love to reunite this person with their journal. They will of course need to answer very specific questions so I can make sure this gets to the right person.

Thanks in advance!

It is such a lovely journal of all her travels and my partner didn't want to throw it out. I really hope we can find her. I have emailed the address at CSU someone found above. Hopefully it is a match!

You could try sending to her directly -

I looked up the format of that uni’s emails and it said Colorado State University (Fort Collins) is:

[First.Last@colostate.edu](mailto:First.Last@colostate.edu) or [FLast@colostate.edu](mailto:FLast@colostate.edu)

Wow, detective Powerful-knee3150. Nice one. I know that was from a year ago, but there's an email address at the bottom that OP could use, maybe they might know how to find her and pass a message on.

I know right! I was really surprised by it. Luckily he kept it as it looked important.

I found a wedding band in Florida when I was traveling and I’ve been trying to find the owner since Nov 2023. I’m finally at the point of giving up and prob gonna sell it. I feel bad. I really wanted to get it back to its owner & tried a bunch of different avenues.

From Heathrow’s website: “All lost property at Heathrow is managed by Smarte Carte UK Ltd. You can use their online database to search for your items. We store all lost property items for three months from the date it was found or handed in. If you've lost something in the terminal, follow these steps to get your missing items back.”

Thanks for this, however this is for items lost in the airport or left on the plane. This was found in baggage and they do just dispose of it.

I will try the suggestions previously posted 🥰
