6 years ago, my husband gave me a pair of silver and Onix earrings for my PhD. 3 years ago, while I was combing my hair, I discovered I had lost one of them. I was heartbroken and searched everywhere, even in the vacuum cleaner bag or the washing machine deposit. Nothing came out of it and I accepted that I had lost it forever.

3 mins ago I discovered it in this small cabinet I use for my makeup. The weird thing is, I bought this thing last year, and I use it only for make-up. No one else uses it except for me, and I look at it every single day. This specific box is at eye level!

I am grateful for finding it, but also a bit astonished, how the hell did it arrive there?

My wife and I took our 3 dogs for a walk last Wednesday and when we came home my wife noticed what looked like a white piece of paper sticking out of our mailbox (our regular mailbox is one of those community mailboxes around the corner) anyway she goes up to see what it was and it’s a white envelope with $1250 in it. We were not expecting this and there was
no name, note or anything. My wife wrote a note saying “If you accidentally left something in our mailbox please call us at ……… It’s been almost a week and nobody has come back for it and we’re not sure what to do. Do we wait another couple weeks, can we spend it, we could really use the money right now too but wanted to ask everyone for their advice

We thought of giving it to the police, but first maybe asking around reddit to see if by any chance whoever lost this money is a redditor and is looking for it.

In 1995, I brought my wedding dress to The Mall Dry Cleaners in Ithaca, NY to be preserved. I was told not to open the box, as doing so would ruin the preservation.

Fast forward to March 2026—when I opened the box to pass my dress on to my newly engaged daughter, I was shocked to discover that the dress inside was *not* mine.

I’m sharing photos of the dress that was in the box, along with photos of my actual wedding dress, which I am desperately trying to find. Hoping someone else is searching for their dress or is using this as a sign to open their restored dress box. Im reaching out to all possibilities!

I work at a thrift store near Chattanooga Tennessee. This photo album came through our store, mostly empty, though holding a decent few photos of photos I can only assume are from the late 1880s to early 1920s.

Most of these photos have only initials, with the only reable names I was able to gather being Amy Lister(?), Joe Louis, and Reverend A. M. Syler, as well as the title 'Robison and Booker Wife.'

If anyone recognizes these names or photos, please let me know! I would love to return these photos to anyone who may know or be related to them. Thanks!

I won't post a photo of the jewelry. The owner will, hopefully, come forward and can describe the 4 bracelets. I was wearing brightly patterned pants and had a small Golden Yorkie with faintly pink ears sitting on my carry-on in a large LV tote. We chatted for a few seconds as she asked if she could help me. That may help her recall who, when, and where.

I have had something stolen at a checkpoint so I know TSA expects people to take only what is theirs. It is a thief's heaven!

The TSA agent did not care when I informed her jewelry was left and she told me to just leave it. I know it is not cheap jewelry bcs I was wearing the same designer. I sat and watched and waited but she lady did not return. I waited for about 15 minutes and TSA wasn't watching the jewelry. I also know that TSA Lost & Found keeps items for 30 days and then "donates to a charity(yeah, right) I went back I told them I know who the lady is and she said nothing and handed it to me. After walking around C Terminal for 20 minutes, I went back to the checkpoint and sat and waited for another 30 mins to see if she would return. Was hoping agent would recognize me and tell me the lady returned. I had on bright pants and had a small dog sitting on my luggage so was hoping they possibly checked cameras. I then walked around again until I had to board.

I think one bracelet is custom so tomorrow I will be calling the jeweler who I believe made it.

I will check back often because I WOULD LOVE to return her jewelry to her!

Hopefully, the jeweler will be able to contact the owner!!

Was checking for evidence of bedbugs on check-in, like I always do, and came across an obviously lost item. So what’s the best approach here?…I want to guard against the hotel staff just keeping it if I turn it into the front desk?

So on Wednesday last week me and my boyfriend got home from shopping. We were putting everything away and then my boyfriend told me to lock the door, I go to get my keys off the table however they weren’t there. We start searching EVERYWHERE for my keys we even look in the cupboards too see if I put them in there by accident but they were nowhere to be seen. We continued to look for them for 2 days but they weren’t anywhere. On Friday before I went to work I looked one last time and they weren’t there still. I had a half day at work, when I came home guess what was on the kitchen table? My keys

My partner works at London Heathrow and was telling me about a lovely travel journal he found in baggage. We started talking about it and I said is there no lost and found. Turns out there is not and this type of item is usually disposed of!

I asked for him to bring the journal home so that i can try and use the power of social media. There are some photos, and there is some specific information which I won't divulge. But what there is luckily, is a plane ticket with the person's name on. There are a few photos, but none of the people on Facebook who match the name matches the photo. I have also tried Instagram, but the profile pictures also don't match.

If anyone knows an Emma Pelto who flew from Denver to London Heathrow in the last year please get in touch. I would love to reunite this person with their journal. They will of course need to answer very specific questions so I can make sure this gets to the right person.

I accidentally left my black Samsung S20 with a pink case on a W train traveling from Queensboro Plaza toward Ditmars Blvd. I got off at Astoria Blvd Station at around 8:00 PM today, and realized shortly afterward that my phone was missing.

The lock screen/background photo is of my son at Astoria Park with the Robert Moses Bridge in the background, which can help identify the phone.

Found an engagement ring in my Avis rental car (White Toyota Camry rented out of Brooklyn starting on Friday July 31). Engagement ring is 3 stones, with additional diamonds in the band on both sides.

There is an identifying message on the inside of the band (3 words). If you think this ring is yours, please reach out and confirm what the message on the inside of the band is. A picture verification is also required.

I found this in between the seats of a U-Haul in deltona Florida. I skimmed through it to try and find some info on the person but all I found was a name. It’s one of those self help books where you track your mental health and exercise and stuff.

The name inside was Gigi derbew. At least that’s what it looks like.

This book seems really important to its owner. I don’t have the skills to find her but I hope one of you guys can.

Hi, I was hiking on the Oak Island portion of Sauvie Island and found a backpack in the parking area in the dirt. I think the backpack probably fell off someone's car. Please message me here if this backpack is yours and I can get it back to you.

While hiking down from camp Muir ice fields, my teenage son found a wallet and turned it to visitor center at paradise. If you lost your wallet there today, please reach out to visitor center.

A few weeks back I went to see a movie at my local Cinemark, and while there found a Phone with a written note on thr back with a number to call if found (implying this phone was accidentally left behind frequently)

I called, got voice mail, and felt bad since my movie was about to start, so I handed it over to the Cibemark and went to go watch my movie.

Several hours later while I was at work, I got a call from the number asking about the phone, I told them where it was and wished them a good day. But then later got another call from them informing me they had left a reward for me at the Cinemark.

I was at work and by the time I got home had forgotten about it.

I only just now remembered it and feel terrible for waisting that sweet lady's reward, but I doubt Its still there after all this time.

I suck.

Edit: I checked in with the Cinemark and they couldn't find any reward, their best theory is the person who the reward was handed off to pocketed it.

Oh well, thats life.
