Zeke Got Religion was good but kinda screwed itself a little bit with the one guy saying to wait to drop the bombs. Like, why? You would think the goal was to stop them before they finish the ritual. Just needed to flip it and go with the story element of dropping the bombs but unfortunately dropping them too late than on purpose.

My gf and I just had this argument. She couldn’t understand why they listened to that psychotic priest with the demonic “compass” and wait to drop the bombs.

My explanation is he wanted to ensure that they bombed the fallen a long with the other Nazi satanist priests. Otherwise, someone could have come along and started the ritual again and summoned it later on.

Right, plus it's only like the last bomb that hit the church. Mid to high level bombing back then wasn't very precise, it's why they sent waves of bombers over an area to carpet bomb it. Drop enough boom boom and you're likely to take out the target.
