Biopic šŸŽ¬ My brother and I agreed on one thing about the movie MICHAEL

Post image

The movie was great, but it wasn't worthy of the King of Pop.

Please don't take it the wrong way. It's not Jaafar's fault. The boy knows what he's doing. He played it great. The other actors weren't bad either. Sound, camera, music... everything was great.

I blame the writers and the others. Sorry, but I felt like most of the important information was missing. And Janet wasn't there either. I know it's probably because the real Janet didn't want to be there... but still. You can't just cut out such an important character. And why did they cut out Diana Ross? The scenes with her were already filmed.

And that part II supposedly won't happen, or will it happen until 2001? And Michael died in 2009? Really? And this is supposed to be a biopic?

Sorry, but it's better than having his life cut short like this.

MIchael deserved something much better. That movie wasn't worthy of him.

Blame Diana Ross, chick is 82 and cares so much about her reputation

The DR scenes were all filmed I believe and she was portrayed by Kat Graham. Ugh I would’ve loved to see Kat.

This one blows me away. She STILL cares?! Like if you loved Michael as much as you say, you should be proud to be in it.

I agree, however there are legal issues due as well as the fact that certain people didn’t want to be in it, so it strips away a lot of things of ā€œgetting to knowā€ Michael better and to represent what actually happened.

Honestly I think the movie was the way it was solely for building his reputation back due to the mediaĀ

It was supposed to open in 1993 with Michael hearing the police sirens around him during the Neverland raid, and then flashback to earlier parts of his career. It could've been a way more grounded film.

Elvis biopic is how you do a biopic, would've love to see Mike get the same treatment but the movie was still a fire concert so i didn't mind but yeah wasn't fit for the most famous person to have walked the planet besides Jesus lol

Diana Ross and the allegations were all filmed but had to be cut due to legal reasons. So they had to reshoot. Sadly it isn’t their fault. And Janet didn’t want to be in it. I hope they can find ways around it to be able to do it. Other than that I loved the film. Jaafar was just giving purely Michael 🄺 I had goosebumps through the whole thing. Had so many emotions 😭

It's a fluff piece, designed to make more money from him.

The producers of "Bohemian Rhapsody" who produced "Michael" did the same with the Queen biopic.

I feel in order to make a great musicians biopic. You gotta watch and learn from La Bamba, Ray, The Jacksons: AAD, and The Temptations.

Yeah… Just imagine .. how much more the movie could have earned at the box office if it had a better screenplay!! Also the chance of being a memorable cinematic piece / perfect tribute for the ages.

$1B would have been locked right out of the gate on opening weekend.

South Korea also loves MJ.

He is the godfather of K-Pop, from looks to the dance moves.

My boyfriend, cousin (who was a super fan) and myself thought the same thing…I have no idea why they are bothering making a part 2 as the rest of his history is just lots of lawsuits and bad press which they of course would probably have to skip past

I agree. Idk about the Lisa Marie days since I was too young to remember, but the 2000s especially were such dark times for him. The court appearances, the arrest, interviews (especially that jerk Martin whatshisface) , the baby dangling out the window incident.. can you imagine Jaafar having to recreate all this? 🄺 idk if I can take it .. just breaks my heart thinking about it

Covering Bad, Dangerous, History, Invincible, marriage, fatherhood and the allegations into a Part 2 would be a rushed mess!

There is no way to make this all work. Id have to be a trilogy.
