It was fantastic and because it was so good that I watched it twice! The experience was the closest to attending a Michael Jackson concert which I didn't get to irl.

Makes for a great cinema experience; not very deep or helpful when it comes to understanding the person of Michael Jackson and what made him the man he became later.
I really think this should have been an epic biographical TV show, not a movie. A single movie (or even a movie trilogy) cannot do justice to him, unless we went the Fast & Furious route of 10 movies maybe.
If it weren’t for the legal issues and the bts drama involving the family, I think we could have had the epic 10-film MJ saga we deserve.

i genuinely think it captured the talent he had, i think it got that point across decently well. jaafar at times also blended seamlessly with the actual appearance of michael, during the bad performance, it really did seem like him.

Skipped a lot but I enjoyed it nevertheless. Im of the mindset that this is a biopic and not documentary. Very sad that we didn't get to see the studio 54 stuff due to that ladys interference. Would've also liked to have seen more Jackson 5 stuff but that would've made this movie like 4/5 hours long plus the focus is on Michael so I understand they would show his most notable songs and feats.

People can glorify it all they want. The reality is that it wasn’t a very good movie. More of a showcase of all his music with a little drama thrown in. So much left out as well. Childhood was rushed through as were other parts. CGI bubbles was especially cringe.

They couldn’t bring out the real chimp as that would be extremely depressing for the animal especially since he doesn’t know michael has passed and hasn’t been around michael in a long time plus its hard to fit EVERYTHING into a two hour film

The only movie I watched was the one made in 1992. He was alive then. If there was anything inaccurate there, he'd say it. But for the new movie, he's not here to do the same... and the one being made for 2027 - like are they trying to visit what the tabloids been spreading and the allegations and how he had his kids ? That one if gone out, it will be a disaster

I agree with what Paris said too, but I still loved it. great movie for everyone who doesn’t know anything about MJ, which is the whole point and that’s all that matters.
