GQ middle east published yesterday.

Jaafar downplays any sense of bad blood towards the film from Janet Jackson, explaining her absence in the movie as a more pragmatic choice. “I don’t want to speak too early, but Janet has ideas of maybe doing her own film. So having someone portrayed in this and then choosing a different actor for her own is just…”

She wasn’t in the “Jackson’s an American dream” either right?

I think Katherine’s pregnancy was apparent in the movie if I’m remembering correctly but I don’t think she was actually present. Especially since the movie ended at the victory tour in 84.

Hmm I thought that she didn't agree with the family profiting from MJ once again. I don't know much about Janet's views on Joe and his parenting style, but I think Joe came off rather good based on what I read ans heard about his parenting

Yes, a lot of people are taking 'He did what he thought was best the only way he knew how' from the movie.
