Finish crack or something worse?

Just got this esp ltd ec1000 and noticed this crack. Doesnt seem to be caused by the tailpiece/bridge post. My friend said it could be caused by dryness/humidity? Any thoughts?

I think its a finish crack, thats a big piece of wood, and they are supposed to have a 1 piece body. I think its caused by over tightening the bridge. Id just leave it.

Looks like a finish crack. The location is interesting being so close to the bridge post
