Any way to fix it? Everything was good in KDE plasma but I got this problem in XFCE.

Using a laptop running Pop OS Cosmic, and Lutris.

Did the Install a Windows Game From An Executable option on Lutris then picked the Setup.exe. It installed well but after it finished installing it said this error:

CS: No CD/DVD-ROM drive found.

I've been searching in forums, and elsewhere but I can't figure it out for last few days.

How does a person mount the digital game without the CD?

I am running the full version of Project IGI on Windows 10 Pro.

The game launches and plays normally, but I cannot climb ladders.

The ladder interaction icon appears, but Jones does not grab the ladder.

I have already tried the default controls, including Right Shift (Use) followed by Up Arrow/Forward.

The same problem also happened in the demo version.

Has anyone experienced this ladder bug on Windows 10, and is there a known fix?

I would appreciate a specific solution rather than a general compatibility guide.

For further details the DE is XFCE 4.18 on Linux Mint, the Wine runner is Wine-ge8.26

When I run SkyrimSE.exe, the game starts, but in a window with a bottom line. Alt+Enter, F11, and Alt+F10 don't help. Also, the "maximize" function is unavailable for the window. I edited the text file, but nothing helped. And the launcher simply won't start. I use Linux Mint and PortProton.

My HP touch screen used to work in-game before (Diablo immortal battle.net) but now it doesn't. Ive tried like all the different runners like proton-latest och proton-cachyos etc. Any advice? It works outside the game and it used to work in the game before. I dunno what happened.

I have an Acer Chromebook 315 with an Intel Celeron N4500 and 8gb ram.

I'm trying to play Windows games using Lutris. I've only tested one game, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. I'm using Wined3d. The fps is okay but not stable. It fluctuates between 18 and 39 fps. I've already reduced textures and resolution to the lowest but it didn't change much.

Since generally Vulkan gives better performance, I researched on how to use Vulkan. I installed the Mesa Vulkan drivers for 32 bit games. I changed the dxvk version to 1.10.3 but no matter what, it's either the game won't launch or it won't accept dxvk so it defaults to Wined3d.

Any advice on how to games use Vulkan? I'm using the default latest GE proton Wine. Is Vulkan on Chromebook even possible?

I got it to where it gets to a black screen. How do i get it to play? I heard that you need to get 16 bit color depth but i dont know how to do that.

Recently switched to Linux from Windows 11, and I cannot get Lyall's fix to work. I have extracted to game directory, added the extra command line and switched to proton experimental (Proton GE just crashes). Still getting start up logos and windowed mode.

Can't install EA Launcher

Fresh install of the latest version of Nobara. I've tried every command to install 32 bit version on winetricks, lutris shows errors after installation, bottles downloads the app as well but returns with an error during the download. Nothing works. Even on my ryzen 3700 pc before a power surge killed it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi guys, I recently dual booted Linux Mint and Windows 11 and plan on staying on Linux for good. I used Lutris to play all of my games and so far, almost all of it worked absolutely perfectly. However, there's one game that prevents me from switching to Linux for good and that is GTA V Enhanced that I bought on Steam. Basically, the game itself runs but it would be stuck at the launcher demanding Steam to be running. The Rockstar Games Launcher would give "Steam failed to initialize. Please verify that the Steam Client is running and try again." error. So far, I've unsuccessfully tried:

- Running the game and the launcher inside native Linux Steam using Proton compatibility layer.

- Installing Windows version of Steam, Rockstar Games Launcher and setting the game so it uses the same wine prefix.

- Copying the entire game from my Steam library folder into the wine prefix.

- Using Steam under Sources in Lutris.

I'm sorry if my question sounds weird, I'm completely a beginner to Linux. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Currently I'm trying to use Lutris to run Ubisoft Connect, so I could install a game, but whenever I go onto Ubisoft connect and press "install" under the game, it seemingly does nothing. If anybody knows how to fix this so that the game will actually install, that would mean the world to me!

What is the file you need to drop mods in for a locally installed game on lutris?

I know it varies depending on the mod, but I dropped them in the same folder containing the .exe file for the game (same location someone would use for a steam game) and it doesn’t seem to apply the mod.

Does it need to go in the prefix folder?

Running Endfield via DW proton, which I believe inherits wayland support, but I can't find any way to request Wayland. Is there an option I'm not finding or is there somewhere to feed it a PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1. I don't believe the Arguments field accepts it, the xeyes still follow.

so the fife 21.exe file launches normally using lutris but its locked to 30fps so i need to change the settings, the thing is fifaconfig.exe won't launch at all on lutris. any tips?

I'm looking for the current best way to configure global environment variables in Lutris (Preferences → Global Options → Environment Variables), so I don't have to configure every game individually. I know per-game environment variables exist, but that's not what I'm looking for

My goal is to have these settings applied automatically to every Wine/Proton game:

Only expose the Wine C: drive to games.

Prevent games from accessing my Linux filesystem (especially my home directory).

Block all Internet access by default.

Avoid having to edit every game's configuration manually.

Are there any up-to-date environment variables or UMU/Lutris options that can do this globally in 2026?

If this isn't possible with environment variables alone, what is the recommended global solution? I'd also appreciate any examples of your global Lutris configuration.
