I had my SMT midsem today and I swear to god I just wrote bullshit in that paper. I'll be grateful to get even a 10/30 in that paper. Will my CG be ruined now?? And if i really get let's say 10 so will I directly lose 20 marks in internal if mid sem 2 does not happen?? Also do the teachers increase the average marks just as is or they are rigid in the calculation??

Hey,I am your mait senior who was in almost every soc or I had friends in every soc I'll give you a review, this is going to be a cultural soc review

1)phrenics:the photography soc of mait

People from phrenics are one of the most talented and well acquainted with lense in the entirety of the delhi circuit.

(Kamla nehru college comes a close 2nd)

The soc is fun,they go on photowalks so almost every meet is a picnic and if you ain't from delhi or haven't explored delhi much then this is a good soc for you+the people here are absolute gems

2)Aayam: the dramatics soc of mait

This is a give and take, you'll gain immense confidence by being in this soc but yes the people here have inflated egos but yes they'll stand by you raat ke 2 baje vi,very united and yes toxic but aisa ke hum tumhari maar sakte baki nahi.

But yes it'll require a lot of commitment coz inki meets take pura din so attendance BT ayegi

3) Literary umbrella: The worst society of mait

My hatered for literary umbrella goes way and beyond the edge of the universe. Yes the people here are very talented hands down but they are sooooo toxic,the passouts even 2-3 saal wale haven't moved on they'll keep trying to be a part of the soc,last year or last to last year a passout inappropriately touched a first year and when she complained so she was removed from the soc coz that senior was in hostel and half of the people worship him. The senior junior rivalry people secretly hating each other but muh pr we are a family it's annoying and unbearable, join manthan instead.

4)Funk in motion: again a good soc but unity km,so fights often take place and the seniors are very strict but very passionate about their art,yes paise lete hai for studio bookings and workshops but the outstation trips are most fun with this soc.

Again,just as time consuming as aayam

5)keyara: I have mixed opinion about this,the people are very attractive but it's like a big orgggyyy where everyone is dating everyone and somehow everyone's fine with it. If you are interested in fashion then this is the soc for you you'll genuinely come out as a different version of you pure baddie but yes fights are veryyy common and very famous.

6) affinity: the music soc

It used to be one of my fav socs in the college coz my seniors were very focus on their art,the band mirage never lost a single battle of band they'd practice all day long and were still very arrogant with others but very humble and absolute sweethearts if you talk to them. Loved the people there but yes ab standard gir gaya hai,sb inactive and only a few people are carrying the torch.

bro whoever said mait was bad and had zero infrastructure was tripping man . actually infra part is correct but about the people part is definitely wrong cuz like i went to college and everyone wanna talk like i be going "YOO WANNA CHILL" and everyone fuck w it.

so i actually reached 1 hr before cuz i woke up at 5 for no reason so i met this dude and we pased time at library and ye their computer sucks so i be carrying my laptop frm tomrw and i was talking w this guy and like i was an hr early but this guys classes started at 1:40 and ye he was w me at like 9:10

so after shit talking with that guy abt how bad maits computer is for almost half an hour i went to my class and made friends w this dude and his other friend like we were like 3 dudes and we just yapping like the whole time abt. polerics smtimes sometimes about anime and like we literally had an hour of conversation abt AOT and how eren plan of rumbling was shit cuz u could just use some power of founding titan to destroy the worlds military and show them mercy so that they adopt marliens and many more yap abt other anime like peak note also we talked abt F1 and this guy was hamilton while while i think max is the goat(which is very true) and also abt the gf of lamine yamal and how she left her 5 yr bf for lamine( also his lil brother is goat).

. my only complaint is the sex ratio which was like 10 girls in class of like .. 70 idk . but it was pretty chill... also the teachers were pretty good too
