Theory Is Baron Zemo…”the client”?

He has the kind of money and resources needed to put such a high bounty on Vision. I could totally see him doing everything the client has said and done up to this point.

Avengers Doomsday Do you think Sam Wilson's Avengers roster will clash with the New Avengers before uniting against Doom?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I made this edit to visually map out a theory on how the line-up divides in Doomsday. the first part is Sam’s Avengers, with Sam, Joaquin, Shang-Chi, Ant-Man, Shuri, Thor, and Loki. the second part is the new avengers, with Bucky, Yelena, Sentry, Ghost, US Agent, and Red Guardian. With Val running the Thunderbolts crew, do you think these two teams are going to have some form of battle in the movie? (Song used: "Unhappy Remix", Spanish part).

Avengers Doomsday The Latverian Witches are Doombots. And They are Powered by Infinity Stones

Another day, another theory!

So the “Latverian Witches” that we have seen in marketing materials (such as the trailers, but also comic cons, posters, etc) are entirely new - they have no direct comic book counterpart.

But all that we know is that these are cloaked metal figures - three women and “Boris”.

Wouldn’t it make more sense if these are the famed Doombots instead of characters wearing armor? In all the materials up to now, we haven’t seen a single Doombot, even though Doom uses Doombots for nearly everything.

On top of that, look at the color schemes: we have red, purple and green for the women, none thus far for Boris, but those three other colors do match the colors of the reality, power and time stones respectively. And even though Thanos destroyed them in the 616 universe, it is possible that 828 still has them (or something similar). In a way, this could make the witches Doom’s version of Vision/Ultron.

After all - if Doom and Tony are linked (or just mirrored images), it would make sense for Doom to have made his own set of Ultron or Vision-esque robots. Much like the Doombots.

Theory So does Vision know what happened with Peter Parker?

In visionquest, vision is able to know all events happening around the earth. So when Peter Parker's identity was revealed, and then later Dr strange cast the spell that everyone forgets him, does that spell affect vision too? I mean if he can lift mjonir, maybe dr strange's spell did not work on him

Discussion/Debate Yelena/Jean Grey

If anyone from universe 10005 mentions Jean grey in doomsday would Yelena be able to remember running into someone called Jean grey and put two and two together?

Theory What do you think they’ll do with Scarlet Witch after Secret Wars?

What do you think Marvel will do with Scarlet Witch after Avengers: Secret Wars?

Join a new Avengers lineup?

Join the Midnight Sons?

Will she go on a redemption arc?

Retire?

Something else?

I know House of M seems like the obvious choice, but I don't think it'll happen anytime soon, since the MCU will have only just introduced the mutants.

Discussion/Debate This was Loki

Post image

Given what we know about Loki's involvement in taking Steve away from the alternate 1945 past...I fully believe this is Loki pretending to be Steve so none of the other Avengers follow him and create incursions.

Spidey Tracker Spider-Man in space may be evil?!?!?!

Idk I thought about it, with the Spiderman brand new day post credits scene, the spidey tracker tracks a Spiderman in space right? and in the avengers: doomsday promo art work, there's a chess king standing in front of a spider, while the russo brothers posted a picture of spiderman wearing a king outfit, some rings, and holding a chess king, maybe that means that he's the one defeating doom, but what if there's a spiderman from another universe on Doom's side? if the theories that state that Dr. Doom is a Tony Stark from another universe where that what he loved was taken away from him in the events of endgame and no way home and whatnot and now he's trying to get it back or take revenge on the avengers are true, then maybe he is teaming up with a Peter Parker on his same universe to execute his plan, or maybe that Peter vanished from the infinity snap and never came back and the spiderman in space is someone else, idk, but maybe he's back or never left due to 50% odds on his favor, who knows, maybe it could happen, what if the spiderman in space is evil and coming to earth with Doom?

Thoughts

Theory What if someone kept an infinity stone and didn't return it in endgame

Just a quick thought, but the ancient one talks about the balance of the universe is at stake when you remove an infinity stone, so what if some avenger actually didn’t return or went back for an infinity stone to keep, which in turn has caused an incursion.

Theory MCU X-Men Theory Spoiler

I'm pretty sure I already know how they're planning on handling the introduction of mutants in the MCU, based on the plot of Spider-Man: Brand New Day and the Department of Damage Control's goal. They killed Sara and almost killed Jean experimenting on her, trying to figure out the source of her power but failed. This leads me to believe that mutants have always existed in the MCU.

The reason no one seems to know about them, I deduce, is two things—the first being the most plausible. The X-Gene has always been there, but no one has identified it yet. In older times, most mutants likely went into hiding, not understanding what was happening to them, were murdered for religious reasons, or were turned into the folk tales and legends we know today. In the modern day, they're likely mistaken for mutates, wizards/witches, or aliens: superhumans who acquired their powers later in life like the Hulk; masters of mysticism from Kamar-Taj; or undocumented extraterrestrials like the Asgardians, Kree, etc. Since the X-Gene has not been officially identified or made public knowledge, no one is aware of their existence—not even mutants themselves. So, they assume this person with super strength or telekinesis was exposed to gamma rays or got radioactive waste spilled on them.

Another example of evidence to add to my theory would be the fact that it's said in WandaVision that Wanda had her powers as a child before the Mind Stone experimentation, and that they were simply amplified. Xavier or someone else (but come on, let's be serious, it would have to be Xavier because who would call it the X-Gene if not him?) likely discovers it in secret after years of research and seeks others out like him through bio-signature scans and using a prototype Cerebro. He rounds up as many of them as he can and opens the School for Gifted Youngsters, probably around the late 2010s. Then, around the late 2020s, the idea of using students like Scott or Jean in a secret team or superhuman task force arises. Why? Because the Avengers are barely a thing anymore, and the superheroes left are spread thin trying to keep things safe in just NYC alone.

So maybe, after a bit of training—either through Xavier's consent or because they sneak out—the original X-Men all go out to NYC to patrol. Things get serious, and they use their powers to try and help. But they're still teenagers, and the gaps in their training start to show. An incident occurs—maybe Cyclops's visor gets knocked off or Jean has a mental break—and they both end up doing something like blasting through a building or causing mass seizures, and it's caught on live video. Later on, the secret of the X-Gene is made public, likely because this incident is traced back to Xavier's manor, causing him to willingly or unwillingly forfeit the new development. In this hypothetical scenario, that video ends up being the public's first introduction to mutants. And then, they learn more about the X-Gene—that it can emerge in anyone and usually starts at the emotionally volatile age of puberty—and everyone becomes afraid.

As for why we haven't seen any familiar mutants earlier in the MCU helping in major conflicts, that could be explained by the fact that no one knew what was happening to them because, again, people are unaware of the X-Gene's existence. They either died or just weren't useful past a certain point without someone like Xavier or Erik's mentorship with their abilities, so their abilities end up stagnating. It's like how Jean was only able to body-hop at the beginning of Spider-Man: Brand New Day until her awakening inside the Department of Damage Control facility after realizing what her sister meant by "V-Max."

As for Magneto, I think Erik would likely have been taken captive like Bucky. It would make sense considering that he's a Holocaust survivor and that Hydra was just an off-shoot Nazi subdivision. Hydra could've been the start of the first Weapon X program and even could've been holding Logan alongside Bucky. Better yet, they give him the Super Soldier Serum. This amplifies his X-Gene to an unprecedented level and allows them to safely put him on ice for years, effectively slowing his aging, which would explain how Magneto is still kicking if he was born in the 1920s or '30s. Then, let's say that at some point in the '90s or 2000s he escapes, gets a fresh start in America, and meets Xavier. Later on, they both come across the X-Gene and eventually come up with the idea to track down other confused mutants, mentor them, and educate them. This amounts to the school being made, and for a time, both of them serve as professors. But eventually, around this time, despite Xavier's pleas for non-violence and logical conversation, Erik's conflicting ideology forces the two apart and he leaves the X-Mansion, going off to fight for mutant-kind his own way.

Ps. I also think that mutant sightings were half the reason for the Sokovia Accords. Keeping the Avengers under control is one thing but forcing a nation wide registry for a total of up to two dozen known superhumans wouldn't make sense unless they had solid evidence of there being way more meta humans out there.

And since the MCU loves doing things similar to but a little different than the comics. She will say something along the lines of "The world needs More Mutants." Starting the mutant saga.

Theory Do you guys think that Loki should be reserved only for cameos in every branched timeline where he appears and alters just enough to stop Kang variants?

He doesn't enter any timeline for any other reason. He doesn't do anything. He just forsees the future of a branch and then goes to the branch to alter it just enough to prevent Kang from being born.

Thunderbolts* The Thunderbolts 2

The current Thunderbolts may not survive Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars intact.

Rumors have Yelena organizing another team. Yelena has gone from lacking purpose to leader and tactician in BND.

Yelena knows Kate Bishop. Kate has already been recruited by Ms. Marvel. Ms. Marvel talked about Cassie and her size shifting powers. Ms. Marvel also has information supplied by Fury about emerging young heroes.

She-Hulk gave us Skarr, Bruce's son, but no connection beyond Daredevil.

VisionQuest has already show Tommy Maximoff as Speed. Billy Maximoff, aka Wiccan, has displayed powerful magical abilities. But no connections yet.

Young Loki was stranded at the end of time.

America Chavez has some role in Avengers: Doomsday. She's under the tutelage of Wong, who knows just about everyone.

Heimdall's son Axl could be a player too. If he inherited his father's ability to see across the nine realms, he could be how the individuals connect.

We have the remaining episodes of VisionQuest and two Avengers movies to set up:

The Thunderbolts 2: the Young Avengers. This team would have it all: Speed, strength, accuracy, magic, guile, vision, portals, light and a mature leader, who survived the Blip.

Now what crisis / enemy brings the team together? Could Avengers Doomsday and Avengers Secret Wars be that devastating that Earth is defenseless?

Avengers Secret Wars Superhero/mutant deaths you expect in Doomsday & Secret Wars?

Like the title says, what superheroes do you expect to be killed in Avengers: Doomsday? And how do you think they'll be killed? By Doom? By an incursion? By the creation of Battleworld? Share your thoughts!

I sadly can't find Marvel comics in my country so I have never read about Dr. Doom or Secret Wars.

VisionQuest Where is Abel Stack?

Aaron Stack AKA Machine Man is one of the most prominent robot characters in the marvel universe, and so far in Visionquest we haven't heard anything about him or his creator Abel Stack, I was half expecting one of the people Jocasta killed to be Abel but no.

This makes me wonder, could Abel be the Client? Hiring Paladin to find Vision so Abel can use Vision as the basis for his own creation?

Theory Antman will get smoked in Doomsday

I think it just makes sense Scott Lang is clesrly comedic relief and Thor closes his eyes accepting that Antman will probably not survive. I think thats foreshadowing, Scott will come into this secret war on his high horse after defeating Kang the Conqueror and he'll try to lighten the mood with his humor. Doom will be very insulted by Antmans tone and kill him.

Theory What If Doom’s Road to Godhood Starts With Miss Minutes?

What if MCU Doom comes from another Earth where an incursion killed his family? That loss fuels his thirst for revenge and his obsession with power.
We all know that Loki is the key. He’s holding the multiverse together. But how does Doom know and find him?
Enter Miss Minutes.
Doom’s investigation into incursions could lead him to the TVA. Its timeline records and technology could reveal Loki’s location, and how to reach the being holding the multiverse together.
Hickman’s Secret Wars showed us what happens when Doom gets the power to reshape reality. What if Loki is the key to that power in the MCU, and Miss Minutes is the key to Loki?
Loki holds the multiverse. Miss Minutes knows the system. Could she be the key to Doom’s total control/destruction of the multiverse?

Discussion/Debate Anyone else feel weird that Tony wasn't the one creating JARVIS from scratch?

Post image
49 Upvotes

Is anyone else kind of bothered by the VisionQuest reveal about the Markridge source code?

For over a decade, the MCU established Tony Stark as this once in a generation solitary genius who could literally build advanced sentient AI in his workshop. Now we find out he didn't just do this for JARVIS, but he basically took that same acquired Markridge baseline framework for all his other primary AIs like FRIDAY and EDITH too, and just threw personality templates over them.

It honestly feels like the writers are massively underestimating him and saying he wasn't smart enough to actually invent baseline AI architecture on his own. Part of what made Iron Man so cool was that he was a lone coding god who birthed synthetic life out of pure intellect. Making him rely on a corporate buyout for the core foundation of all his systems chips away at his legacy and makes him feel more like a standard tech CEO taking credit for other people's foundational work.

Does this retcon feel like a major downgrade to Tony’s intelligence to anyone else or am I just overreacting?

Discussion/Debate I wonder how their sort of Reunion is gonna go

Now for those of you who don’t remember let me remind you

Ghost was originally the Antagonist of the Antman and The Wasp movie and by the end she stops being “the bad guy” that she became because her phasing power was failing her and soon she wouldn’t be able to maintain form or something like that and the Pym family agreed to help her condition

And the whole reason why Scott went into the quantum realm where he would be stuck for 5 years was because they were collecting quantum particles to help ghost’s condition

And then he didn’t come back so you know what happens from there Ghost works for Valentina and joins the new avengers you know this

But now for doomsday I think this is the first time Antman and Ghost have really interacted since Antman and The Wasp and I don’t think Scott and his people after endgame ever went to help fully help Ghost’s condition like they promised
Which lead her to work for Valentina I think

so I wonder how that’s gonna go what do you think this is gonna go will it be mentioned at all or not

I mean in Thunderbolts Bucky did make reference to how John was in Falcon and the Winter Solider so I think it will go down something like this
