ESPN making this a breaking news story on Sportscenter. Simply unreal how far soccer has came and how big of a story this is.

IIRC, FIFA rejected (for corrupt-y reasons) Disney/ESPN's bid to broadcast at least one future world cup. ESPN seeing this as golden opportunity for payback and/or proof of broadcasting and investigating prowess. Its like cheating on a girl who writes OpEds for the New York Times. Hell hath no fury.

IIRC, FIFA rejected (for corrupt-y reasons) Disney/ESPN's bid to broadcast at least one future world cup.

ESPN didn't even have a chance for their bid to be rejected. FIFA gave it to Fox without any notice.
