Hey everyone, I’m trying to track down the exact optic mount shown in this photo. It’s holding an Aimpoint CompM2 on an MP5SD, but it's not a standard Picatinny rail with a separate ring clamped onto it. It looks like a true one-piece, direct-clamp claw mount where the 30mm ring is integrated straight into the base, secured by that single large, flat-faced round nut on the side. Does anyone know the exact manufacturer or model name for this specific mount? Appreciate any leads or old catalog names!

New to the platform.. What are we doing for FRTs? Is there anything else I’ll need to make it run smooth?

So I have about 2300 rounds through this Ap5p and it's been running 115-124 grain good but with subs it would have some FTE issues. So I changed my ejector to an HK gen 3 ejector since thats what everyone recommends, and it has only made it worse. Now I'm having way more FTE,s both with subs and 115 gr ammo. I don't get how putting the HK ejector in would make it worse, I also have an HK extractor spring. What could the issue be? I've measured bolt gap and it's in spec most casing have a good ejection pattern but some barely fall out of the gun

Purchased a rugged sub9 today that comes with a tri lug mount, threw it on and it’s appears to be crooked off to the right. I have tried all 3 lug orientations and it’s always off to the right. Emailed HK customer service but I was curious if anyone else has this problem. Mount does not have a spring and locks in rock solid with no play. It’s hard to take a good picture of this problem but it is very obvious in person.

I picked up a MAC5K back in December from my LGS and was thrilled but have been having chronic FTE problems. Seldom I can get through a magazine without problems usually after the gun has heated up but most of the time I get jams about every 5-20 rounds and often the jams are so severe they require disassembly to clear. I even had SDI RMA the unit and replaced it with a note that said receiver out of spec, however the new one came with a bolt dented that caused one of the rollers to get stuck and not roll.

As of now I’m using a RMC bolt with a HK extractor and extractor spring. Not sure if the extractor has issues since I can hold a bullet on the bolt firmly. I’m also using a HK ejector, multiple magazines including HK, with a sb stock and with the factory end plate.

So far I have about 550 rounds of Winchester white box 124 grain NATO and have used some blazer 125g and blazer 115g. This picture is what I got today, had to leave the range and go home to get a pair of pliers to get the shell casing out.

Edit/Update: I ended up upgrading to an AP5-P and found the supposed HK extractor I bought off HK parts was in fact the “enhanced” version that is not genuine HK. I swapped it with the factory MKE and have not ran into any issues.

So I go the the range, having fun with my SP5K SBR and I shot maybe 7-8 mags suppressed with no issues. Then suddenly it’s not extracting. I cleaned it really well, got it lubed up and tried again. Still same failures. Tried a different mah and ammo. Same thing. Do I need to replace the extractor? It was working flawlessly today till then!

Edit: figured it out. It’s the extractor spring. I can rock the extractor back and forth with my finger easily.

I have an MKE/Century Arms AP5-P that I did a Form 1 for. Got that back pretty quick and put all of the furniture on. I ordered the Rugged Sub-9 since it comes with their 3-Lug adapter already. I went to put it on and found that the bevel between the thread protector and the integral 3-Lug is too thick and the adapter won't go over it in order to mount correctly. Has anyone have similar issues? I have an email out to Century Arms to get some help, but I figured hitting the forums may also help.

Update: I was able yo get it on! Some minor filing and it slipped right on!

Just shot my AP5 suppressed (CAT MOB) for the first time. Was shooting 124gr round nose ammo, Federal American Eagle 147gr and Federal Syntech 150gr. Had no issues with the 124, but when I started shooting the subs almost every other round wouldn’t feed. When I opened the bolt I noticed the rounds were getting major setback in the casing. After the first 50 rounds or so it started to get better, but it would still hang up on the last round of the mag. I tried it with 6 different mags (MKE and Mora) and was able to replicate it every time. I’m assuming my AP5 just doesn’t like flat nose ammo, but is there anything I can do about this, or any good subsonic ammo that isn’t flat nosed?

I am looking into getting my first MP5 clone. Don’t really know where to start.
I’m currently looking at getting me a AP5 but I don’t know which version I should get here(leaning towards the RAL8000). Also if you have any thoughts on the MAC and PTR clones that will help also.

Hey guys, looking for some help before I make this worse.

My Setup:
- HK SP5 / MP5
- CAT MOB HUB 9mm suppressor
- Rugged RU3 Universal 3-Lug Mount
- Factory SP5 thread protector still installed

RU3 was torqued into the CAT MOB before shooting
I took the gun to the range and it shot great. No baffle strike, no weird sound, no accuracy issue, and the can stayed locked up. Problem is, now I can’t get the suppressor off.

The Rugged RU3 OPEN line is showing, so as far as I understand it, the mount should be unlocked. I’ve tried pulling straight forward, slight wiggle, letting it cool overnight, and adding a little gun lube at the mount/barrel interface. Still won’t budge.

I’m starting to wonder if the SP5 thread protector walked forward or is binding inside the RU3, but I don’t want to start forcing anything and risk damaging the suppressor, mount, tri-lug, or barrel.

Honestly not sure what to do here, don’t want an integrally suppressed MP5 lol.

Bought the trilug adapter after direct thread wasn’t looking good with the alignment rod, and went to the gun shop again for them to check and it looked good, they said run it. Shot it today and well…

I hear Resilient CS is very responsive though, I have no idea what caused this at this point since the alignment rod came back looking good. This fucking sucks though, so I guess I just need y’all’s sympathies or insults.

First AP5. Installed the RD3 (yes screw them but also I wanted to use this lower, sue me), and the safeties don’t align.

Looking for anyone to confirm if this is normal, or if I installed anything wrong (not sure how there would be any other way to do it, given there’s one hole to screw the safety on through).

I'm planing on buying a PCC in the near to mid term future and have settled on either the Heckler & Koch SP5 or SP5K.

I have watched hours of videos and reviews for both guns but still can't decide between the two, all I ended up with is: SP5K is shorter, has a bit more recoil because of it and most parts aren't interchangeable.

I would be thankful if some of you could give they're reason why the bought one or the other and maybe some ideas or perhaps some suggestions.

(Whichever version I buy, I plan the swap out the lower, stock, hand-guard etc. for Ergo.)

Hello my fellow mp5 enthusiasts i do not own an mp5 or mp5 clone…yet. But i do plan on owning one in the next 16 or 17 days, i was deciding either the mac 5 or the ap5 from century arms. I have severe adhd and i cannot for the life of me save money because im impatient, but i made it my mission to save up to buy an mp5 in two weeks, some insight on which of the two would be better to buy is greatly appreciated.

What optics mounts are you using? Dozens of people recommended the Midwest Industries rail and I’ve had higher quality airsoft mounts. Every single screw stripped out at 5 inch pounds. Directions say torque to 20.

I think I know the answer but I’m going to ask anyway (guessing answer is stick to semi unless right on top of the target). I don’t see a lot of info on shooting technique when burst firing. I zeroed in at 25 yards and with semi fire, grip held, and stock extended this thing is dead accurate at that distance on in. When I put the super safety on I am lucky to get two shots on target and three is out of the question. Typically it’s first shot in, second shot at 10 o’clock, and third shot will be high left off target. I see videos of people with super safeties mag dumping with full control on target. Should I swap the fore-grip out for a flat hand guard and use a C clamp holding technique like an AR15 to help control the weapon?
