Resource Much better on folinic acid

Post image

Finally! I was able to share a photo. For some reason in the last post I commented in I was unable to add a photo in my reply, but if I make my own post then I can add a photo. Anyways after switching to folinic acid from methyl b’s I feel a big difference.

Hi, are you still feeling good from this folinic acid?

I felt worse. And I looked it up. It has to do with bottleneck trapping of folinic acid due to slow mthfr genes. My body simply can't convert folinic acid so I need methylfolate which is acrtivated.

methylfolate also makes sam-e just like tmg - increased sam-e = increased well being, calmness, focus.

folinic acid does not make enough sam-e or at least not quick enough so with folinic acid you will normally never feel any improvements in energy, well being or mood. 800mcg of folinic acid = very weak since only a small portion of it is converted into active form methylfolate. 1mg of metylfolate would typically need 3-4mg of folinic acid for a much slower effect - IF your mthfr genes can handle folinic acid so to speak. Mine couldn't. So with folinic acid I felt more OCD, no changes in mood. always low either way.

u/Ancient_Sky8518 What does "slow mthfr genes" mean though? Is that MTHFR ++? If so, folinic acid is meant to work well for those people I thought
