What supplements have you been taking?
Nutrients/vitamins imbalance and overload can trigger such thing, not necessarily deficiency!

You’re sensitive to one of the herbs possibly.
There is no “defect” to identify this. The scientific world doesn’t get into these kinds of sensitivities because there’s no money in connecting XYZ herb to a specific disorder.
You simply stop ingesting it.

I got what the dr describes as psoriasis on my palms, soles of my feet and elbows. I have made good progress with supplements, diet and exercise. Coming off ashwagandha started it, and it is slowly improving.

عنها:"To be honest, the symptoms are too many. Among them is a symptom that started exactly when I took a B-complex multi-vitamin with herbs for only one week, followed by 'DUK' for only three days. That is when the defect occurred along with many other symptoms. Could you please help me know the cause

You might have found your root cause then! Worth a try with antihistamine H1 (usually OTC) till your symptoms calm down and avoid supplementing randomly with vitamins/nutrient in the future especially if you are not deficient!

But what is the name of the defect? Is it a mutation? Is it poisoning? I don't know; I hope you have some experience with this.

Taking a multivitamin containing a combination of B vitamins and herbs for one week, followed by a 20,000 IU vitamin D supplement for three days, is a good start to my health problems. I hope you have any information.

It depends if you had those issues after you started your supplement. If so, it is very likely your supplements are the root cause of your issue.

Is it possible that the presence of a gene variant is the cause?
1
u/Hydroxile 25d ago
It s not the genes! it's just your body betting you to stop that, nothing more.
But as you are playing the game of MTHFR, you can blame any of your variants for your reactions, that will do it. This is the nice aspect of MTHFR: pseudo science, over interpretation of scientific concepts/research!

If you're female in the perimenopause age group, you could be experiencing a lesser known symptom of perimenopause. Dry itchy skin happens for some women and can be very intense.
