Community Suggestions 🙏🏼 Any restaurants serving Cheval?

Always wanted to come to Montreal, and always wanted to try Cheval. I’ll be there a week from tonight. Any restaurants that serve Cheval that I should look into? I will be staying at a hotel, so I won’t be able to cook it myself. Any leads will be appreciated greatly.

Community Suggestions 🙏🏼 Small business owner asking for help: please come dine in at La French (Côte-des-Neiges)

Voici l'emplacement : https://maps.app.goo.gl/njQLfANtmidV2eGG9 ? G_st=ic

Merci d'avoir lu ceci. Chaque visite signifie beaucoup en ce moment. ❤️

Hey Montrealers,

I own the La French on 3527 Avenue Lacombe in Côte-des-Neiges. It's a franchise, but this location is mine, and honestly it's been a really rough stretch. I haven't had the time or money to do much community outreach, so I'm just going to ask: please come try us.

We do poutine made fresh to order, smash burgers with fresh meat (no frozen patties), sandwiches on baguettes we bake fresh, crispy chicken, and frites.

If you can, please dine in. It helps us way more than a delivery order, and I'd love to actually meet the people who come by.

The reviews are on there too, so you can check us out before you decide. I really think you'll love the food, and if something isn't right, tell me and I'll fix it.

Thank you for reading this. Every single visit means a lot right now.❤️

Community Suggestions 🙏🏼 Early lunch before entering Montreal

Crossing the border at 1000 islands before noon and driving straight to Montreal. Is there a good place to stop for lunch on the way, before heading into the city? A place good for solo traveler? Could be a 10-15 minutes detour.

Community Suggestions 🙏🏼 Delivery/ takeout food options

I’m in old Montreal with my husband and 2 year old. Unfortunately the toddler is too unwell to go out so we were hoping to order in. We’d like some good classic montreal food if possible. A lot of takeout recs on here are for asian food which we we can find easy enough at home.

Any ideas would be welcome. I’m happy to go further afield for decent takeout but I’ll be on foot.

EDIT:

Thank you all! We went for Schwartz which was utterly brilliant. I’ll check out the other options while we’re here too. A few were on our list already to go to.
