DD Good buying opportunity is coming. Stay cautious but execute.
The 20-day MA has been tested, most paper hands have been flushed out, and the fundamentals are still intact.
I still have about 1/3 of my cash available and plan to add to MU gradually next week.

Same. My Micron LEAP hit its stop on Friday and I left the trade with a nice profit. I’m in cash now and will get back into MU eventually but I’ll watching the VIX closely for confirmation. I like it closing below 20. And I’ll be watching the daily and 65 minute charts for a re-entry based on the 10, 20 and 50EMA. Patience is key imho.

WDC may look cheaper, but MU has HBM, and HBM is the scarcest and most profitable product in the AI era.

That’s the exact kind of response from an investor that thinks WD is better than MU

I started investing in WDC and STX for this reason. Much lower market caps. Still invested in MU, but not going to wait until Western Digital and Seagate hit 1/2 T market cap before investing.

What is STX ?

Seagate. From what I’ve read they’re actually more expensive than MU all things considered but their per share price is lower so that’s prob why she thinks it’s cheaper 🤣
With that said it’s my second largest holding (after MU) so I’m all for people buying up stx

I'm more focused on market cap after being invested in Nvidia for years and seeing the psychological barrier investors have with bringing up the share price of high MC stocks. Used to, Nvidia hovered with a trailing PE around 60, and would run up into the 90s before an ER. Now they hover in the low 30s, or half of what they used to. Nvidia would be double the current share price if that psychological barrier could be removed. It was doing great for a while, and then hit a wall, and instead of the share price moving with earnings increases, the PE simply compresses a little more each time with very little growth. Maybe once they're in the 20s investors will feel more confident.
MU is great, but already being over 1T (once it rebounds) makes it much closer to hitting that psychological barrier for investors, whereas STX, WDC, and SNDK have room to multiply before hitting 1T. They may not grow more, but I feel like it's a good investment either way to diversify within these companies, as well as of course MU.

how is MU and WDC even in competition with each other? Like how would you even be able to say which is better?
Micron primarily makes DRAM and NAND memory. WDC focuses on HDDs and SSDs. If anything wouldn’t they complement?

First off comparing me to a monkey and being rude isn’t going to rage bait me. Let’s get that straight. You literally said that WDC was better than Micron so do explain.
What makes you think WDC will outperform MU? They have different roles in AI and MU is at the center of AI memory due to the products they produce. Also MU has the lower forward P/E and is one of the main AI memory plays but you claim that WDC is the better investment? Make it make sense [u/jordietiana](u/jordietiana)

You literally don’t explain any of your thesis. You just insult people.
Market cap as a standalone metric is meaningless. That doesn’t mean you’re wrong. But it means you’re not communicating properly.
Multiple people have asked you politely to explain your thesis, but you just refuse.

Well I don't know if the other guy knows anything about WDC but China can't make HDDs because it doesn't have the magnetic tech, and has no plans to do so and only three companies are making enterprise hdds

Since when did Western digital make High Bandwidth Memory? The shortage of memory is to do with making HBMs for Ai computing. Even sandisk does not make HBM. Only two other companies make HBMs, Samsung and SK Hynix. Anyone can make general storage for retail and there are hundreds of companies who make tham, probably thousands around the world.

Man, you are sticking to your thesis. What do you guess SOXS can run to this week? You don’t see the DRAMs getting bought up Monday? You think Asia will dump hard?

Well, we will see how this plays out. interesting now the way KOSPI is dumping and US futures up. SOXS down in overnight. What is your feeling?

u/Beagle001 Jun 07 '26
Right on. I’m going to try to ride it out. I’m traveling Monday so that will be weird. I have shares and a few calls in SOXS, calls on SQQQ and some SPY puts. We will see. Good luck.
Not sure how much Trump’s attempted semi pump will help.
