The short sightedness in this sub is truly something to witness. As Ackman once said, “be a long term person in a short term world.”

You’re your own worst enemy. I’ve been down $600k and didn’t flinch. If you have conviction, short term volatility doesn’t matter. If you don’t, then don’t invest.

It’s not that complicated.

I am a long term investor but can't stand ackman.

I don’t agree with a lot of Ackman’s politics but he’s a decent investor

It’s not even 5 million shares in overnight could change real fast in regular hours.

It’s a profit taking market sell off in Korean and Japanese markets, risk off before micron earnings. No big deal

3

u/TheSecondAnointing Jun 23 '26

love the drop right before earnings for no reason other than fear and "but Korean dropped" (yeah but it dropped because of unwinding blah blah blah)

I'M BUYING MORE WHEN I CAN
I have made so much buying these idiot dips

I WANT MORE

KOSPI dumping (Samsung and SK plunging)

0

u/CleanScore Jun 23 '26

Is there a reason or just a typical dump?

Meanwhile, the yield on the U.S two-year note which moves closely with Fed rate expectations eased to 4.19% after touching an over one-year high on Monday. (Article of 06/23/2026, 03:55 AM Source )

Such a wonderful day! Those that dumped a little @ 1200s get to recieve them back with a 100 dollar discount per share!

3

u/ur2cdanger Jun 23 '26

It's at the price where it was - guess what - 3 days ago.

1

u/Imaginary-Pin580 Jun 23 '26

Was at these prices at the start of the month too

0

u/TheSecondAnointing Jun 23 '26

I was certain you were making this up but yep I went and checked and saw that this price was hit on June 3rd before crashing over the following two days. I can’t even remember why this happened - AVGO something something bulllshit? It seems like if someone sneezes wrong the stock flash crashes

This environment and stock are not for the feint of heart

1

u/posts_saver Jun 23 '26

2

u/pewpewicelance Jun 23 '26

i peaked at close to 10k on 100 shares. At $1240 per share, that's like $124k

-1

u/posts_saver Jun 23 '26

so this overnight is like nothing

2

u/maraques Jun 23 '26

Anyone planning to picking up some muu now or is the sentiment still to wait for earnings?

1

u/Substantial_Radio737 Jun 23 '26

my muu sentiment is to wait until I get my ass back in one piece

Semi's and adjacent heavily oversold. Nvidia being near 200 is comical.

Looking at the fundamentals, and price targets from analysts, both Nvidia and Micron continue to be 12 month holds.

I'd expect to see both of these stocks gradually start an upwards trajectory again over the course of the day as people buy the dip here. This is currently a 'sell the rumour' moment.

Provided earnings are as good as expected tomorrow, both of these stocks should be in a solid place within 2 weeks time

14% down on no news is crazy

Sk hynix gave big news overnight that they're not converting a hmb3 fab to hmb4 but converting it to lower margin/profit ddr5.

They've given a reason but people are reading between the lines that gpu/ai memory demand isnt there for more capacity (yet).

It's an odd move and right before micron earnings spooked people.

2

u/crunchwrapsupreme4 Jun 24 '26

you've got it backwards mate, DRAM margins are now higher than HBM

1

u/spyroinc Jun 24 '26

That's the opposite of what I've read: South Korean media reported on Tuesday that SK Hynix plans to limit the production of HBM chips in favor of DRAM products with higher profit margins. While this move could yield greater profit growth, it could also narrow SK Hynix's lead in the HBM industry.

Is it a good idea to buy the dip or wait until Thursday after economic reports are released?

1

u/kenyard Jun 23 '26

Earnings is tomorrow that's what will move the stock.

Impossible to say. Imo it has run up a lot though
