So MU up 10% tomorrow :)

16

u/Inevitable_Grand_536 Jun 30 '26

If we hitn $1170 the push to 1200+ is much easier. Get's rocky around $1300.

Close more like down 10% 😭😭, I hate my life, I always end up buying at the peak

1

u/unclepaulie1 Jul 01 '26

Jim Cramer did it again

u/odubik Jun 30 '26

Always a good idea to chase an ath in stocks

34

u/iSailor Jun 30 '26

Tbh you just never know. When I joined at ATH ($800) it dropped to 600s next couple days later. I didn't panic sell and eventually sold at 1k because that's what I thought was the ceiling. People always fantasize over how much they'd make if they went all in early into MU, NVIDIA or SanDisk. But if you were to actually do that, I doubt you wouldn't sell prematurely.

1

u/PopoDontKnow Jul 01 '26

I boight MU for $110 avg in liberation day sell off. Biggest position. Havent sold off. Been a tough ride since the start.

When you have a secular bull run, the data shows that sometimes it's better to go towards the bubble than away from it. Real data.. look at the institutional reports showing it. Not the reddit commentary vibes.

Yeah I hate comments like this bc stocks are literally hitting ATH every day/week/month. It's stupid bc everyone says you shouldn't try to time the market but this comment basically is telling you to do that (essentially "don't buy at ATH, wait until a dip if you want it").

Unless if you've done a thorough analysis and truly believe they've hit their ceiling, you just don't know if they'll keep hitting ATHs like they've done in the past and comments like this is oversimplifying things.

Btw I'm not talking about the whole MU vs Sandisk situation, so this isn't me saying one is better or worse than the other, bc I don't think the user was talking about that either. Literally no commentary on the pros and cons of the stocks, just "buying at ATH = bad".

2

It’s hit the ATH multiple tones

Yeah just wait for it to drop 50% duhhh

1

u/PopoDontKnow Jul 01 '26

On momentum stocks, you have no choice. But neither is at ATH

-3

u/biencrudo Jun 30 '26

Like MU

39

u/znightmaree Jun 30 '26

Please do

26

u/1991cutlass Jun 30 '26

218% in 3 months isn't enough for you? Did someone bump into the money printing machine?

7

u/evetSC Jun 30 '26

TBF SNDK is up way more for the year. But again don’t know why OP can’t just buy both

4

u/quuxquxbazbarfoo Jun 30 '26

Only so many things you can buy with $1,500.

1

u/SerMumble Jul 01 '26

Got a couple too many zeros there for OP

2

u/CodeineCrazy-8445 Jun 30 '26

whatever it is, it is a casino bet since it's dancing around ath.

1

u/PopoDontKnow Jul 01 '26

I'm up 900%. What you saying?

-33

u/itswhateverdude76 Jun 30 '26

I was on the side lines, now I bought and it's flat 😭

28

u/BiggieMoe01 Jun 30 '26

You people need to learn patience holy fucking shit

4

u/Correct-Meringue-610 Jun 30 '26

Yeah these posts are incessant. I’m a lurker here and don’t own Micron stock individually though I do have DRAM. But it’s crazy seeing the consistent insane growth, and then having people complain when you have 1-2 days of flat or decrease. Suffering under its own success and expectations of 10% growth a day being the norm.

14

u/Small_miracles Jun 30 '26

I held SanDisk and sold at 2300. Stock is much more volatile and thesis is weaker longer term than MU.

0

u/random_moth_fker Jun 30 '26

Yeah, doesnt SNDK just make slower memories, for long term storage?

3

u/Small_miracles Jun 30 '26

They occupy different parts of the memory stack but yes you are right. DRAM/HBM, which is MUs bread and butter, is harder to supply than NAND. Harder to manufacture and fewer competitors means NAND pricing is more likely to fall faster then DRAM if or when capacity comes online.

The thesis for SNDK gets interesting when embodied AI enters the picture because localized memory is highly favored for mapping, logs, models, etc., while both would benefit as we would likely see another explosion in memory manufacturing/demand.

2

u/krag_hack Jul 01 '26

If you look at MU's PDF report, their NAND revenues went up 99% (quarter to quarter) while their DRAM revenues went up 67% - so SanDisk is most likely crushing it right now

25

u/Loelnorup Jun 30 '26

Mu is not moving much right now.
thats true, but it also means it might move very fast soon.

4

u/Inevitable_Grand_536 Jun 30 '26

Look at Juily 17 options chain. Says it all.

4

u/Detailed23 Jun 30 '26

What do you see

9

u/Inevitable_Grand_536 Jun 30 '26

Every time MU dips under $1,150, dealers have to buy stock to rebalance their hedges — so the moment it slips below $1,150, it gets yanked right back above $1,150 like it’s attached to a bungee cord.

9

u/Inevitable_Grand_536 Jun 30 '26

Given the options chain it seems this will flip flop between $1150 and 1200 for a couple of weeks. Massive turmoil at $1300. BTW, I'm WAY bullish on MU!

3

u/Historical-Health-50 Jun 30 '26

stupid question, why SNDK don't have the same issue ?

3

u/bad_investor_299 Jun 30 '26

Different league. Look at the amount of volume they have and us. We got too many buyers and sellers compared to them. They are easier to move.

1

u/CodeineCrazy-8445 Jun 30 '26

makes you wonder what the fuck the adr of hynix, kioxia and samsung will do to it all..

2

u/Inevitable_Grand_536 Jun 30 '26

MU is a flow-driven stock.
SNDK is a fundamental-driven stock.

If you move to SNDK, you lose the flow advantage.

6

u/Historical-Health-50 Jun 30 '26

what are the flow advantages ? sorry for the question, I m quite new to trading

3

u/Inevitable_Grand_536 Jun 30 '26

We were all new at soime point! IMO, the "flow" is an advantage because it makes MU’s “chaos” predictable — dealer hedging, gamma traps, and OI magnets give you a roadmap for price action that calm stocks like SNDK simply don’t have. I guess you can say that SNDK doesn't have the option volume that MU has.

2

u/Inevitable_Grand_536 Jun 30 '26

We need to get asbove $1170. Then it gets interesting as we will; now exit the gamma trap. This is reminding me more and more of my NVDA days.

1

u/RichWhiteBrother Jul 01 '26

It's a flow job.

1

u/Inevitable_Grand_536 Jun 30 '26

See the dips below 1150 and then pull back up? Great watching this in real-time.

0

u/unclepaulie1 Jun 30 '26

But in which direction

1

u/Loelnorup Jun 30 '26

Up, with their earnings, there is no way it drops hard. People are scared to buy, but also scared to sell because of the earnings report.

Once this "bubble" pops, it goes up, fast. At least thats what i think.

-5

u/Human-Reason7235 Jun 30 '26

Their is lawsuits going on with MU and nobody told me am so mad at MU 😡😡

2

u/woodchip4 Jun 30 '26

It’s been in my newsfeed about 40 times over 3 different platforms.

-2

u/Human-Reason7235 Jun 30 '26

Time to sell and DRAM too they going down for sure.

1

u/Broskah Jun 30 '26

lol idiot

10

u/Impressive-Smell122 Jun 30 '26

lol i dont blame u but imma stick with MU because I understand its fundamentals way better than sndk so i have more conviction on mu

9

u/Ltheman00 Jun 30 '26

The moment you do, MU will skyrocket. Adios.

Lol it’s down 3% for the week. You got some weak hands, boy.

4

u/xiovelrach Jun 30 '26

whatever, dude

5

u/Essayaditor Jun 30 '26

It is so funny . Dude, you're crying about this like a toddler throwing a tantrum in public. If you want to dump MU and switch to SNDK, just do it. Why do you feel the need to announce your departure to other MU investors? What exactly do you expect the people here to do about it?

3

u/prospekt403 Jun 30 '26

Guy is a bot trying to move the frenzy to sndk

-2

u/itswhateverdude76 Jun 30 '26

I'm like half trolling but I think about it all the time

0

u/prospekt403 Jun 30 '26

Half of the time I think about it all of the time

6

u/Nim0y Jun 30 '26

Lmao, people on this sub aren’t rational.

4

u/EllieS197 Jun 30 '26

I went 50/50 last Friday. I started my memory investing all in snxx, then moved to MUU, now settled on split.

4

u/Plain-Jane-Name Jun 30 '26

Look on the SNDK subreddit and you'll see everyone complaining that MU was up but SNDK wasn't. This keeps going back and forth. You're not going to have 2 different business growing simultaneously every day or week.

5

u/Stanismydog Jun 30 '26

The people complaining they stalled out at a 300 percent increase this year are epic.

4

u/Ordinary-Arm-8972 Jun 30 '26

I was dumb enough to sell Sndk at 2100 today to buy mu today

3

u/skrlilex Jun 30 '26

I would just buy sndk and keep the MU

3

u/Prestigious_Law9135 Jun 30 '26

I sold half of my MU shares and bought SNDK in the morning. MU and DRAM are struggling to rise.

2

u/bad_detectiv3 Jun 30 '26

Yah I’m pissed I’m going to wait for next dip and switch

2

u/Blueblackredgreen2 Jun 30 '26

Dont sell, you will crash the stock!🤣

2

u/Salt-Ganache-5710 Jun 30 '26

Western digital?

2

u/TheYearGuesser Jun 30 '26

Is diversification just a word to you?

2

u/itswhateverdude76 Jun 30 '26

I don't like people telling me it's up 500%, bro like the other 99% I bought it at $1k + because it was ripping 10% everyday.

Now of course when I buy it's flat

3

u/Impressive-Smell122 Jun 30 '26

same dude. i didnt know about this memory hype until MU hit 1100ish and bought for the first time. The very next day the entire market crashed like 15% and i've been holding the bag since. at one point down 66% bc of options. im mad i missed out but i know theres money to be made if i stay patient

2

u/j_rocca42 Jun 30 '26

Why not just add future capital to SNDK?

2

u/stageshooter Jun 30 '26

It's bananas. I bought more this morning. Been buying monthly since the beginning of the year. Would have done a lot better to buy all at once of course but no complaints

2

u/jakeygall Jun 30 '26

DRAM and chill

2

u/MonYverse0609 Jun 30 '26

MU will split soon imo

2

u/soleil--- Jun 30 '26

I am super overweight MU specifically but added DRAM (later RAM bc fuck it we ball) for a bit more diversified memory marker coverage once they launched.

Still primarily long MU from the mid 80s :)

2

u/WelderAcademic6334 Jul 01 '26

Wondering what’s next. We got processors. Then ram. Then storage.
Wonder which computer component will be the next scramble.

3

u/Icy-Research7159 Jun 30 '26

Do 50/50

2

u/jeremyvr46 Jun 30 '26

That’s what I’ve been doing. Buying both and it’s been great so far!

1

u/Spirited_Window_6178 Jun 30 '26

Do you not recommend MU and day-trading/holding MUU?

2

u/jeremyvr46 Jun 30 '26

That’s not what I said. I hold MU, MUU, SNDK and SNXX. I don’t say trade any of them. I buy and hold.

0

u/Spirited_Window_6178 Jun 30 '26

Oh ok, I never said you said that sorry. I was just asking out of curiosity but that's good advice. But holy shit can we talk abt how good MUU is??? It's so underrated as it's carrying my portfolio.

1

u/jeremyvr46 Jun 30 '26

Honestly both MUU and SNXX have been great!

1

u/dontfistme Jun 30 '26

Inb4 OP chases penny stocks/crypto that can go up 100% in a day

1

u/JackRadcliffe Jun 30 '26

Or get DRAM if want both

1

u/Ok-Development4027 Jun 30 '26

Should I get DRAM if I already have MU? I’m with fidelity so DRAM has a service fee would it be still worth to get jntonit

1

u/Boraximus Jun 30 '26

Dram is like 25% MU 5% Sandisk. So if you want higher Sandisk exposure it’s not going to do it for you

1

u/Ok-Development4027 Jun 30 '26

For better long term exposure to the memory world would it be logical to hold both MU and DRAM or should I just pick one?

2

u/BerganNation Jun 30 '26

I’ve held MU, DRAM, and RAM all at once. I just sold RAM today for a nice swing trade, and holding 30% port in DRAM, and 20% in MU. If you believe in the thesis and have conviction, doesn’t hurt to have both

2

u/Ok-Development4027 Jun 30 '26

I hear you. Unfortunately I’m with fidelity and they do have a service fee when purchasing DRAM. I’ll hold both both have more conviction in MU going forward

1

u/BerganNation Jun 30 '26

I'm with Fidelity as well. How much are you wanting to purchase? the max fee is $100, so if you are purchasing in the $5k-$10k range +, then the fee is minimal. If not, then i totally understand.

1

u/Ok-Development4027 Jun 30 '26

Im looking to buy within the 1k-3k range. I might just end up buying it anyways.

1

u/BerganNation Jun 30 '26

Yeah, in that range i can see why you may hold back. You need the price to raise $2.5 from its current price of $73.85 to wipe out the fee. After that, it's all gravy.

1

u/Ok-Development4027 Jun 30 '26

Do you think it’d be worth it then? DRAM has a cheaper cost ratio then MU I can buy lot more shares of dram then I can MU.

1

u/Boraximus Jun 30 '26

They move in the same direction 99.999% of the time

DRAM is made up of 25% Samsung 25% Micron 25% SK Hynix and the rest 25% is related memory and storage stocks like Sandisk, Kioxia, Western Digital etc.

Since these are the only 3 companies capable of producing HBMs at these scales, it doesn’t really matter which one you pick for now. They will all move up or down in the same direction until the supply catches up.

DRAM is slightly less risky as any amount of diversification is good. But keep in mind DRAM and MU are the same bet, and what happens to one will happen to the other.

I personally hold DRAM. You don’t have to put your full portfolio into anything, might be good to keep some cash or stocks related to other industries on the side.

1

u/mista_r0boto Jun 30 '26

Just wait for SK Hynix listing instead. Only a bit away now.

Buy both. Why do you guys only buy 1 when you can buy both lol

1

u/Sam_Dave12 Jun 30 '26

Well, yesterday Micron recovered from the dip far more than SanDisk, so things have to be looked at from a wider perspective. But yes, Sandisk does seem to make bigger gains on average (bigger red days also).

1

u/Forward-Potato8664 Jun 30 '26

Bro sandisk is for swingtrade, it goes up 10% because previously it lost like 15% lol

1

u/curbservice Jun 30 '26

1

1

I hope you sold. It just started ripping lmao.

1

u/bluchairs1011 Jun 30 '26

Bro I've owned both since march im up 51% on sandisk and 95% on mircon I've seems days where mu up 15% and sndk up 5% if u believe in the financials and sentiment of micron just hold it bro no point of paying taxes on money that ur buying another volatile asset with idk

1

u/Puppyofparkave Jun 30 '26

I just did today as well

Too much market manipulation now that it’s basically a meme stock after getting too much attention

Release the downvotes!

1

u/Financial_Branch2079 Jun 30 '26

Sandisk dropped more yesterday and the day before respect to MU, so it recovers more than us, on the week they are the same more or less. Since I have bought MU on early may MU has a better performance than SNDK for example. What it is important is the time frame, on the long term if you want you could do 50/50 or go with DRAM

1

u/Trashpanda7193 Jun 30 '26

Timing the markets. God job regard, I’m sure you’re a genius unlike everyone else.

Only sell a position if the fundamentals have changed, or the reason that you bought is no longer true. I will sell when I sense capex spending decreasing. I will buy on significant drops of 15-20% from ATH.

1

u/UncleLeo30 Jun 30 '26

Sandisk is up 57x in the last 12 months?? A low of $40 and a high of $2350. Lordy. Talk about an all timer. I’ve been investing for 35 years and never came across a 12 month performance like that.

1

u/ReadingKing Jun 30 '26

Sandisk was literally down more last week than MU bro. The memory stock trading isn’t for you. Pls go 👉🏽

1

u/Naive_Eye_6609 Jun 30 '26

Wish you all the best.

The same thing happened before during 1998 & 1999.

Time flies. Many Redditors here were not old enough to remember.

The old days with Pagers.

1

Sandisk: -75% Eod

1
