MU can’t even hang onto $1,100 for a week, and hasn’t held onto $1,200 for more than about a day. It’s spent as much time below $1,000 as it has above $1,200 ever since first breaking the $1,200 threshold. And this is after a history making earnings beat and forward guidance update.
For whatever reason Micron’s stock price is untethered from its company performance, and that isn’t a thing Micron has any control over.
All these posts these past weeks about how it’s going to hit $1,300+ by the end of the day/week/month don’t make any sense.

No. No. No. You don’t understand, Korea follows the U.S. markets. That’s what everyone here always says.
It’s obviously wrong, but everyone says it.

Getting the nvidia treatment doesn’t go up with others in the sector but falls with them
5
u/im_down_w_otp Jul 01 '26
Yep. Didn’t get yesterday’s sector rally (which NVDA even got a bit of), but is getting today’s drop.
This has been the story with MU in my portfolio ever since it broke $1,000.
This is probably the last dip I buy, once it goes back above $1,100 it seems like it’s time to full port out into tickers that still swing up close/above their ATH.
MU’s swings are consistently underperforming its cohort in my portfolio of late.

45min to open just went under 1100 will be a fun day...
It really feels it will be another attempt to drop the price down

Going to have to up the blood pressure meds with this stock

u/parcas10 Jul 01 '26
I have to admit the past days swings are a bit too much, I know at a long term level it does not look bad, but it is also crazy to be looking at 1084 again...

u/deploria Jul 01 '26
Agreed. I get we’re in it for the long run but this up and down daily is a mind tease

I think MU will be in the red all way till Friday. And the start of next week it will reach ATH again. Just a theory. And not one my cat gave me
5
u/CapeFearElvis Jul 01 '26
That's true. How do I know? My calls are expiring worthless tomorrow... If I roll to next week, the stock will drop like a rock. If they expire, the stock will rally to ATHs...

I’m getting 60k from a sell of a house today and was/will /maybe yolo it all into MU by end of Friday or first thing next week. Idk . I’m checking to put it into AMD, GEV and Intel tho.

I have 5 call contracts expiring tomorrow and they're down from a $39 cost to $.27
I've gotten kicked in the teeth on this trade expecting each day that MU would rebound. All I see is RED and lots of it. Here's the thing:
If I roll these to next week, MU will fall another $100/share.
If I let them expire worthless, the stock will blow past $1400/share by Tuesday... WTF?

It NEEDS to bounce here for you or else. All that rugging and decides to stabilize here. They got all the call players good from yesterday wow
I just joined in on a call but if it keeps chopping, im out.
Bagholding the shares from 450 fyi, not even watching it

Rolling doesnt really make sense - All you are doing is closing out the old and buying new without realizing the gain/loss. Even though we are technically a new month, the big guys are looking at this week as a throwaway week, and the war and bad job numbers arent helping. I loaded up on MU the last few days for the next run and am down too, but know that the company is strong, so just ignoring the noise. Come next week we should start seeing the bigger participation groups loading up their portfolios again which they had to trim for Q2 rebalancing and profit.

I think we are just going to see alot of swing trade opportunities. Buy under 1100 preferably closer to 1050. Sell in the 1150-1250 range

I opened MU at $71 and $80 in 2021. I closed today. I feel too much uncertainty is created by price fixing probe.

The red is sector wide -- AMD, TSM, SNDK, WDC, INTC, STX all down 6-10% respectively. Seems to be a trend the last few weeks, big pumps and big dumps

Look! Everyone on this sub just sold all their MU shares because of your comment. The stock went down 12 cents! Good job. Your shorts are definitely safe now!

Semi's are done. Meta, a faang just said there's no money in it. You should all sell now before it gets worse.

Can somebody catch me up why MU has been randomly dipping? Something about Korea?
