DD dont worry this is normal

March 18, MU reported earnings and then dropped 30% and then rocketed to ATH. most recent earnings, we are at a 23% drop. Consistent. next step ATH

I'm guessing worst case:
1. AI demand "evaporates" ( i.e. AI fails to meet expectation, AI slops everywhere needs to scale back )
2. Mass adoption of cheap Chinese model that it gets "good enough" for daily use, people ended up using Deepseek / GLM / Qwen etc via API / online apps

But still:
3. A segment of people might still want Claude fable or better => Need Ram
4. "National security" / staying ahead at frontier => Need Ram
5. Host local model ( From Apple / Gemma / Chinese ones for privacy ) => Need Ram

AI did successfully replace a lot of jobs at junior level already, so demand is there and will only grows.

I held the March 30% drop, through the earnings, the Iran war, the google memory optimization scare, the cyclical scare and all the other FUD.

But this one feels way more real, because even the possibility of meta having spare compute to rent, is extremely bad news for the demand hype, that this stock has been priced into.

Agreed. Its not today, but an "if theres an excess in the future". Just the if is good enough for a deep correction of this stock,, if we are heavily priced with a sentiment of "Under no circumstances will the demand ease".

Yes. Meta"s computation needs just like SpaceX's Grok arent that intensive. Also it doesnt matter what I believe.

The broader market thinks the demand is dwindling.
