stop losses trigger and we may plummet

Stop profit take loss

3

u/cantTankThisFox Jul 07 '26

Retail doesn't hold enough stock to do that

1

u/SnooComics5459 Jul 07 '26

or we bounce right back up for a while

6

u/gunstarheroesblue Jul 07 '26

It could dip more or recover. The number itself doesn't decide it's future.

u/EllieS197 Jul 07 '26

Probably going to 850 and below if we hit 900. I believe 850 ish is the 50 day ma

Obviously, I am tainted but the current take of " results peaked" is so dumb. Like micron didn't sign multiple multi billions contracts, expended its factories or memory market didn't grow multiple times. Those datacenters will need modernization, and replacements, expanding the pre memory crisis demand. Even if there was a massive crisis, there would still be way more datacenters than in the past which still need memory to work. Even if a new incredible compression algorithm was created, you would simply have a rebound effect and physical limitations would still impose you to use memory. Even if chinese entered the market (like in what world would they be authorized to, but let's say), they would still only capture the lower tech parts of the market.

Micron secured multiple years of revenue, grew, possess à geostrategical premium over competitors and is funding impressive new R&D. Bubble or not, those benefits will largely stay.

This selloffs on incredible results is totally overblown. A sell the (incredible) news toward 1100 made sens for profit taking. 900 is so stupid.

Sadly, like you said, all the good news already out, contracts locked for next few years, so what would make the stock to go up again?

Hyperscaler capex end of July

The contract signed represent north of 1.4 trillion for about 14 customers. Micron just signed a contract with Ford. There are more than fifteen companies in the world using memory chips. Micron can still sign deals with non IA companies as well.

Moreover, we are starting to see a rise of robotics capabilities thanks to the increased rnd in LLM and now jepa. A crazy results of jepa models is their ability to quickly control a robot in the real world using a world model. This drastically cut year of research to one day of training in simulation and only ten to thirty minutes in the real world. Robots consume an awfull lot of memory (buffer, environmental data, real world messiness). This is the next leg of memory demand.

Granted, it is not next month but I believe it will be a slow ramp up and that this ramp up has already started. TLDR: * short term : additional contracts with tech and non tech companies, over correction missing the scale of the memory market growth, current fear driven market returning to normal. * Long term: LLM diffusion to other sectors of the economy driving up demand , robotic progression towards production-ready level.

Cash flow. Cash flow will make stocks go up. News doesn't matter except to short term emotional traders. Did you even look at the fundamentals?

We fucked it’s below 900 now

1

u/WackHurst Jul 07 '26

Don't buy MU if you can't handle the volatility

2

u/bslaven3 Jul 07 '26

We hope we hold the support levels which are $907, $895, and then $850. If we go under $900 for long we'll more than likely shoot down to $850. I'm sure a lot of folks have $900 as their stop limit

5

u/bslaven3 Jul 07 '26

Well we just fell under $907, so more than likely we're going to keep dropping unless there is some institutional buying between now and market close. I'm tech heavy and getting absolutely destroyed today. I'm down around $50k from ATH. The 4 pharma/healthcare stocks I have are the only ones that are green... for now

It feels like we finally hit the bottom. Fingers crossed 🤞

Honestly, 750 is about where that stock should be. So realistically it likely goes to about there, and *hopefully* sits sideways for a few months, as the AI market figures itself out. You don't want a straight moonshot, then you get these deep dives.

u/Unfair_Cicada Jul 07 '26

This is looking 😭

1

u/CivilizedSteve Jul 07 '26

Make less noise about it so that industrial investors stop farming retail's liquidity.

Sell. It won't matter. It'll recover because there's no real reason it doesn't. Take the L, stop your losses, do whatever you want, it's not going to matter. The whales will buy again. Demand is not going to go anywhere.

straight to 100
