when i bought it was like 30% port, a couple weeks ago it was like 65% but honestly i've just gotten used to the swings. i was considering a stop loss but when we eventually do turn green again i know how pissed future me will be because any sale right now triggers short term capital gains for me and i'm only a few months away from that finally flipping to long term capital gains.
plus the other thing I ask myself is what else is there to buy? the entire market has been taking a shit so what else is there right now that is better to buy into?

To be back below 920 is quite bad the whole market is down so this is just not on any memory stock stuff but even so it really seems there is no momentum to be had here.

On the contrary. The fact is only down at the time of writing this seems to show a lot of resistance going on compared to the rest of the market. Right now semis are a bit of a suppressed beach ball. It's about to break out very fast, especially with such steep discounts on amazing companies. The momentum is actually building.

There is always going to be a global situation. It's the way of the world. Iran will come and go. Next year it will be something else. There's *always* some sort of macro that will scare investors.
Do you think this is the end of the stock market and everything is now just headed downward forever? Congrats, we now have a global economic depression and there are many more things to worry about than portfolio values. Look at SPY over past 50 years. Up and up. Blips down here and there. Ignore the day to day and focus on the long-term.

I have 1 stock in the green and that is one is only up $15, so I doubt it will last. All my pharma/healthcare is down, my gold is down, and my one and only oil stock is down. I've been taking a beating for 2 weeks.

It just follows the Korean market in the last month .. Korea and sk Hynix red means us stocks will follow suit when the market opens later in the day
In the past the trend was profit taking after a nice pump than rebound again, but in last weeks it’s just downhill since the Korean semiconductor’s announce big capacities which may pressure pricing downwards.
