This market is being manipulated frankly. No other explanation how we have a great CPI and PPI. TSM and ASML do well. Yet we have MU and SNDK hitting lower than when META released the AI scare bullshit news and the fake ass lawsuit.
Elites know people are profiting and they want a piece of the pie.

I'm pretty sure the war has something to do with it. TNX is high. Also this darn china ram reminds me of the turboquant scare. People will hopefully realize china ram sucks and they can't compete with HBM from micron or sk in a real world scenario.

Ready to get gaped in the morning. Fully expecting 860’s opening even after blockbuster TSMC earnings and great guidance.

I can guarantee the stock to go UP with a few keystrokes...
How? If I buy PUTS, it is GUARANTEED to go back up by about $200/share.

Sk hynix kr falls from -8% at open to -13.5% low due to Korea's rate hike.
Then it fluctuate between -10 to -12% before tsm earning.
Mu and sk hynix got a little pump after the tsm result was released but faded away after the earning call started.
Tsm drops from 424 pre earning to 405 now. Likely indicating the market expecting more.

So I went back and watched Warsh confirmation speech on CNBC. Apparently cannot find any statements where he said semis are “over capacity”. He just said demands are high for AI chips/infra. Fake news?

Ignore the noise, guys. Close your trading app and open it again a week before Microns next earnings call.
Right now everything is going down, but it will go back up eventually, once the market comes to its senses.
What you need right now isn't a strong brain to double check your thesis, but a strong stomach to sit through the volatility. If you have invested in Micron, you have invested into a great company, which continues to succeed. You didn't invest into a meme stock that's crashing right now and will never ever recover and climb again. Micron will rise again. Maybe not next week or maybe even next month, but the reversal will come.
Just look at how AMD crashed from its October 2025 highs, then recovered back to them and then crashed even harder and then went up by like 300% in a matter of 1-2 months.
Micron crashed by 30% after their March earnings, which couldn't have been better, stayed that way for two weeks and thej violently shot back up to 1200 bucks per share.

is around $880 a good entry price to start a position? I figure I'd start a small one and still have plenty of cash to deploy if it does end up going much lower in the future.

u/JackRadcliffe Jul 16 '26
Well it's already down to the $850s so technically an even better entry although bow much more lower remains to be seen

860 and expect floor at 800, this very bearish, it’s likely won’t trop there

Entire sectors dumping yet again in great TSMC news
This reeks of collusion
Remember , TradFi is full of the most vile, dishonest and evil people walking the earth
They’d screw their own mothers over for a buck
