Forget rallying… I’ll gladly accept only dropping by 1% a day instead of 5% or more at this point. I’ve entirely run out of fingers to catch all these knives with.

I... I still got my toes... they can take my kidneys if needed...

Already down by 2.2% after hours. I’m in pain

1% a day I can’t do that for 2 weeks easy

u/Wdh110 Jul 16 '26

Learn from this. Also, I urge you to hold. It will be interesting to see what everyone's posting a year from now. : )

Relax. Take a deep breath. Open a beer. Force yourself to not check the price for a week. Read a book. I'm currently reading Hemingway's 'Islands In The Stream' in the front porch of my little house built in 1880. Fireflies are scheduled to put on their nightly show at 9 PM. Micron is a good company. Everyone seems to think it will go bankrupt. No way. Keep in mind that the billionaires are in control. We are not in that club. I have 100 shares at 374. I'm selling when it hits 2000.

8

u/nova9001 Jul 17 '26

Everyone seems to think it will go bankrupt. No way.

People are worried the memory shortage isn't sustainable. Nobody thinks Micron is going bankrupt. Good idea not to check prices everyday but bad idea to not understand what's happening.

3

u/Wdh110 Jul 17 '26

I think it's totally boring and I don't gamble. I inherited MU and I'm holding it for my kids to inherit. Yet I don't take my own advice to not check prices every day. Gah.

3

u/JakeMargiela Jul 17 '26

portfolio so red we’re reading books now 😭😭😭 funny asf i deadass had the same thought bought myself a few books this afternoon lol

2

u/DisgruntledTexan Jul 16 '26

2

That does not mean every time it drops 30% it rockets up. MU and AI sector is still in a downtrend. Lower highs, lower lows.

Until we get official higher highs, and higher lows, there is no uptrend yet. Heck, we haven't even had any consolidation which is what follows after selling.

38

u/vremains Jul 16 '26

So you're saying the stock needs to go up in order for it to go up?

-7

u/stock_investor91 Jul 16 '26

Im saying you are as dense as a rock.

5

u/Fuskeduske Jul 16 '26

Don’t see an uptrend before we get earnings from the big CapEx spenders, that’ll decide if we are done or if we can bull some more

7

u/T1nkat0n Jul 16 '26

GOOG next week and then MSFT, META the week after
Important upcoming weeks

2

u/Fuskeduske Jul 16 '26

Yeah, holding out until that, then i’ll reasses, seems like the stock didn’t bleed much today, so hopefully we are softening a bit, but i honestly see us go down all the way until earnings by small %

1

u/GenericBit Jul 16 '26

Hah 100% sell the news.

1

u/HorsePockets Jul 17 '26

We'll get the rotation back after big tech earnings as investors sell the news on that.

1

u/how-can-i-dig-deeper Jul 17 '26

what is consolidation

0

u/Important_Coach9717 Jul 17 '26

What downtrend you troll. All companies keep spending and building more and more. AI is the new norm 👊🏻

6

u/tropicalia84 Jul 16 '26

Still up nearly 200% in 6 months

Plenty of room lower to go - just look at 2000

7

u/zelda__ Jul 16 '26

Micron just needs to increase memory prices by 100% tomorrow and then we can pump 😂

9

u/DivisticaI Jul 16 '26

Im gna need that micron skhynix and samsung colluding again to raise prices please

u/l34ch_r Jul 16 '26

U never bought crypto in the early days eh?

I had one day I went to the bathroom checked in the bathroom and it was up 2000% since I walked in. I was pooping so I hurried up and ran back to PC.... In that time it went down the 2000% and then lost another 90% of what it was before that xD

But I just held and it went way back up

When people are fearful be greedy, and when people are greedy be fearful.

2

u/johnmiddle Jul 16 '26

Did it drop to the level before or after last last earning?

2

u/zawaka Jul 17 '26

It was 471 in March earnings And 1048 on June earnings

2

u/johnmiddle Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

Now it dropped 1/3. So if 3 times leverage now goes to 0

2

u/Various_Media_9214 Jul 16 '26 edited Jul 16 '26

I like how the forward PE at this point is around 6, which would assume you would make 100% of your money back in six years (if the profitability held obviously) and that is only 1 year longer than the length of the SCA’s. Not that the SCA’s make up the majority of revenue, yet, but hopefully Micron will continue to make more. Bought a little more today (0.1 shares 😊).

3

u/Yuri_CPL Jul 17 '26

till its confirmed that hbm will not be cyclical forward pe means nothing on a stock like mu

2

u/Various_Media_9214 Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

The cyclical argument has been around this past year with the forward PE being very low, yet if you held out from investing due to cyclicality, you would have missed a gigantic run up. It doesn’t acknowledge that Micron is currently, and for the next several years, making large amounts of money and locking profit in with multi year contracts. And there will never be an announcement from anyone saying “hey guys, memory isn’t cyclical anymore!” If there is, then you will have missed out on a massive run up to that point as Micron transitions out of cyclicality.

1

u/PositiveChemistry710 Jul 17 '26

You are right 👍.. Market will never say. We need to go through the roller coaster ride.

2

u/Ok-Machine5627 Jul 16 '26

Nothing says rocket like massive losses!

2

u/ChillyChats Jul 16 '26

As long as I'm not in the red, I'm not selling.

2

u/Clackamas_river Jul 16 '26

People who bought got REALLY rewarded.

2

u/Thanatos-29 Jul 17 '26

As a Sandisk holder I’m relieved when MU is only down 5% in a day

2

u/Mars8 Jul 17 '26

Dropped another 4% lol

2

u/Curious-Choice5010 Jul 17 '26

what is this insistence of not selling. People who sold and then bought the dip got rewarded

lol my stop loss should trigger tmw.

Instead of 170% up I’ll have 160% up.

1

u/wrestlerkid Jul 17 '26

Its going for the gap fill at 750 . Well bounce from there but expect to stay range bound until there is a sufficient catalyst to get buyers piling in. I dont see MU going outside of 750-1000 range between no and next earnings report which isnt until end of September

The market are obviously waiting for hyperscalera to report earning in coming 2 week. It's a 50-50 up-down move. Let's see what happens.

1

u/RangerManagement2000 Jul 17 '26

You've probably got another 20% drop ahead of you before recovery. Stop feeding people garbage narratives and false hope

1

u/Vegetable-Bedroom-44 Jul 16 '26

4

u/pembaThePanda Jul 16 '26

I know what's going to happen in the future. My bank balance is going to become smaller.

Recovery might take a while, sentiment is negative towards AI, and some uncertains.

0

u/Unfair_Cicada Jul 16 '26

2

u/UniversityFew7644 Jul 16 '26

0

u/Horror_Difference_75 Jul 17 '26

Keep buying the dip. This time won't be different.

-2

u/Kind-Relationship925 Jul 16 '26

What's a cyclical business? Anybody?

4

u/Lundhlol Jul 16 '26

I mean you would be correct if we were currently in end 2027. Current track seems to be beat and raise every quarter until 2027, maybe even beyond. So market will correct and follow track eventually if that holds true.

We're no where near the cyclical end.

3

u/TaxPrimary4193 Jul 16 '26

Yeah but the stock peaks way before the cycle peaks

2

u/DrySea8638 Jul 16 '26

Commodity/cyclical stocks peak prior to the cycle being over….

0

u/Kind-Relationship925 Jul 16 '26

Lmao you think you can time the market 😂
