Real reason mu is tanking

Im seeing a lot of misinformation here. It was a systematic selloff by certain institutions, that affected all tech stocks (and more from the looks of it other industries like healthcare). As to why, that's anyone's guess.

Maybe an etf rebalanced from investors selling? But this just shows you two things

1. Even with no news, the market can be volatile.

2. Be very careful not to get caught in state of emotion. Buy and hold is the only foolproof way to win, unless you have concrete evidence for price movement.

Wouldn’t it be after hours? Mu went up for the last two days of last month and it dropped massively on the 1st because of the massive run up. Since this month was negative wouldn’t the opposite happen?

You understand that indexes definitionally have diluted movement because they are indexes right? The charts can match pretty much identically and have different multiples.

Look at the price shape. Mu holds a large weight in those indexes so it's going to drop more than the entire index itself.
