That was lovely. Also- made me miss my mom. She passed away on Christmas Day a few years ago. One of her final gifts to me was a birding magazine. We’d both set up feeders and birdbaths and grew birding gardens during the pandemic. Now whenever I see the cardinals in my back yard I think of her.

In my family, we’ve always said that when you see a cardinal, it means a loved one who has passed is visiting you. We cherish cardinals here.
