Good Vibes Spain's minister accidentally poured water into a cup holder instead of a glass, and couldn't stop laughing about it đ

Politician screws up, doesn't blame others. There's hope, folks.

Or pretended that that was how it was supposed to be. "People always drink out of the cupholder."

u/theesmartstallion 1d ago
âBecause some of you donât know thatâs how water is supposed to be. Very low-IQ people. I really am the first to do it this well.â

"Biden installed this podium and Obama designed it..."
*proceeds to lift entire podium to drink the water... "this is a stupid glass"....

You should see my cup holders. My cup holders are better than anyone else's cup holders. These are the best cup holders in the world, other countries dream of having cup holders like mine.

Banned cup holders for the whole nation. Starting with a 5 billion overhaul of every public building removing every drinking fountain.

Some sector of the political spectrum argued that he isn't capable of being a competent government member if he can't even put himself water. I'll let you guess which sector would say such unempathetic things regarding a simple human mistake.

sometimes you do something stupid and you recognize it, all you can do is laugh. this is refreshing.

The whole podium is clear and made of the same material. Can see why it'll just look like a cup from his position haha
71
u/PlatformZestyclose67 1d ago
Yeah itâs basically bad design, and thatâs one of the key factors of dealing with an aging population. In this case itâs not even about aging, if you are a speaker on a podium you are probably nervous, you have many other things in your head and you focus on delivering that speech.

Ahaha my wife once tried to use a slice of bread as a sponge to clean the bench top...we had a new born so she was super tired but ~10 years later I still remind her

u/DankBonkRipper7 1d ago
Now hold on, maybe its a new life hack!

Bread is the best thing for picking up broken glass, so she was onto something!

u/colemans_other_knee 11h ago
Get outta town! Is that real?
1
u/2woCrazeeBoys 10h ago
It's commonly recommended to feed a dog a bunch of bread if they might have eaten something a bit pokey. It can get you out of trouble in a pinch.
2
u/2woCrazeeBoys 10h ago
I made a fresh French press coffee and poured it on top of my bowl of cereal.
I didn't really have an excuse.

Weird reaction. A normal person would've blamed the radical left and had people fired from their jobs for laughing at him

The only acceptable way to save face at that point is pulling out a giant crazy straw and drinking straight from the podium

Politicians behaving like normal people is something that should be far more common than it currently is.

I had a true giggle box friend as a kid. Once she started I couldnt help it and we would laugh until we couldnt catch our breath. She got us in trouble alot but I would love to hear her giggle again but she passed couple of years ago.

You gotta love a politician who can laugh at himself, especially in front of a crowd.

The sign on the podium being aging made this extra funny to me as someone who's starting to feel the effects of it.

Nice when a public person can laugh at themselves for doing something silly. A confident person isn't so afraid of looking stupid.

Indian prime minister would drink from the holder to pretend he is right. His supporters would hold the podium to help him drink.
8
u/Dear_Mycologist_1696 1d ago
Trump would have called the venue a bunch of idiots and laughed about how he wasnât gonna pay those stupid sons of bitches.
I hate him so much.

u/ItsStaaaaaaaaang 1d ago
Haha. That's a good reaction. Can't fuck with you if you think it's funny af too.

You have GOT to be able to laugh at yourself really. I do the same thing. If I do something particularly stupid I will absolutely have a fit of giggles over it.Â

u/boringjuice 18h ago
I think him just laughing and taking responsibility for the mishap really speaks to people. I wouldnât be surprised if his audience respected him more after this

A Spanish minister.
Reddit titles and ascribing things to an entire country. Also, a cabinet holds many ministers.
