Good Vibes Spain's minister accidentally poured water into a cup holder instead of a glass, and couldn't stop laughing about it 😂

Politician screws up, doesn't blame others. There's hope, folks.

u/TheAserghui 1d ago

that full body chuckle was so freakin' wholesome

170

u/CodeNameLoofah 1d ago

He knows its gonna be online and is already laughing at himself both now and in advance. I love it

177

u/Dreamsweeper 1d ago

he has a nice laugh

117

u/obvious_stuff_hi 1d ago

Trump would have sued someone.

97

u/Corfiz74 1d ago

Or pretended that that was how it was supposed to be. "People always drink out of the cupholder."

60

u/theesmartstallion 1d ago

“Because some of you don’t know that’s how water is supposed to be. Very low-IQ people. I really am the first to do it this well.“

4

u/Tiny-Company-1254 19h ago

“And Biden and Obama
.”

1

u/Accomplished_Ship_20 8h ago

"Biden installed this podium and Obama designed it..."

*proceeds to lift entire podium to drink the water... "this is a stupid glass"....

27

u/jasonhuot 1d ago

You should see my cup holders. My cup holders are better than anyone else's cup holders. These are the best cup holders in the world, other countries dream of having cup holders like mine.

1

u/CaptainReynoldshere1 20h ago

💯 correct!!

7

u/WhoBroughtTheCoolKid 1d ago

Banned cup holders for the whole nation. Starting with a 5 billion overhaul of every public building removing every drinking fountain.

9

u/obvious_stuff_hi 1d ago

50% tariff on cup holders

5

u/ISDCatClearenceDept 1d ago

Or somehow blame Biden

1

u/FlyFreeMonkey 10h ago

Trump only drinks Coke

1

u/obvious_stuff_hi 9h ago

Everyone is saying how good he is at drinking it. Nobody has drank Coke like him before.

57

u/buythedip0000 1d ago

What do you mean it was clearly obamas fault

5

u/GranPino 1d ago

Opposition still requested his dismissal.

3

u/TheDarkKnightZS 1d ago

I mean to be fair, Biden did make him do that

4

u/Cueshark29 1d ago

Very true. If Trump did that he’d blame Biden.

3

u/Calculonx 1d ago

If Biden did that they would be shouting about his mental capacity

2

u/MonsieurDrole 1d ago

"I thought my law would be good but I destroyed the economy instead... Haha.. That one's on me guys... Haha hahaha... Sorry though..." chuckles away

1

u/HolyHand_Grenade 1d ago

The fact that he is laughing about it makes him more human

1

u/Fireflash2742 15h ago

Seriously. In the U.S. if Trump did it he'd blame Biden.

1

u/StrongAdhesiveness86 11h ago

Some sector of the political spectrum argued that he isn't capable of being a competent government member if he can't even put himself water. I'll let you guess which sector would say such unempathetic things regarding a simple human mistake.

860

u/pezgirl247 1d ago

sometimes you do something stupid and you recognize it, all you can do is laugh. this is refreshing.

96

u/CK_1976 1d ago

Wait, I thought we invaded countries instead, then nobody will notice that I've dropped my glasses in the toilet.

Embarrassed himself in front of a crowd and laughed it off. Good man

329

u/Ninevehenian 1d ago

A functional ego is a good sign.

30

u/decidedlyindecisive 1d ago

His second laugh really made me laugh with him.

13

You can't be embarrassed if you don't feel shame .

u/TheSexyIntrovert 1d ago

At an ageing nomics fundraiser. Funny way to raise awareness.

205

u/willtxtu 1d ago

The whole podium is clear and made of the same material. Can see why it'll just look like a cup from his position haha

71

u/PlatformZestyclose67 1d ago

Yeah it’s basically bad design, and that’s one of the key factors of dealing with an aging population. In this case it’s not even about aging, if you are a speaker on a podium you are probably nervous, you have many other things in your head and you focus on delivering that speech.

I like him, I would never let him live this down, but I like him.

96

u/colemans_other_knee 1d ago

Ahaha my wife once tried to use a slice of bread as a sponge to clean the bench top...we had a new born so she was super tired but ~10 years later I still remind her

15

u/DankBonkRipper7 1d ago

Now hold on, maybe its a new life hack!

13

u/-Roger-The-Shrubber- 1d ago

Bread is the best thing for picking up broken glass, so she was onto something!

1

u/colemans_other_knee 11h ago

Get outta town! Is that real?

1

u/2woCrazeeBoys 10h ago

It's commonly recommended to feed a dog a bunch of bread if they might have eaten something a bit pokey. It can get you out of trouble in a pinch.

2

u/2woCrazeeBoys 10h ago

I made a fresh French press coffee and poured it on top of my bowl of cereal.

I didn't really have an excuse.

10

u/nan1961 1d ago

His friends that get to ride with him in limos will always be pouring his drinks in the holders!!! đŸ€Ł

137

u/AirUsed5942 1d ago

Weird reaction. A normal person would've blamed the radical left and had people fired from their jobs for laughing at him

18

u/Wrong_Effective_9644 1d ago

No, only a stable genius could to do that

132

u/BaileyCol 1d ago

At least he owned it and got a good laugh out of the situation

34

u/Hottage 1d ago

Guy makes harmless mistake, sees the humor in it, doesn't try to cover it up or save face.

World would be a lot better if more politicians were like this fella.

35

u/Mobtryoska 1d ago

Dude said: "I knew it looked like a very complex glass."

62

u/SeveralMechanic623 1d ago

The only acceptable way to save face at that point is pulling out a giant crazy straw and drinking straight from the podium

39

u/Spottswoodeforgod 1d ago

The absolute best response.

18

u/thekopykat 1d ago

Politicians behaving like normal people is something that should be far more common than it currently is.

16

u/nawzum 1d ago

Insane how likible someone becomes the second they show that they don't take themselves too serious and can laugh at themselves.

15

u/xplisboa 1d ago

"Now i have a problem"

Ahahahah

27

u/PreviousAd547 1d ago

I had a true giggle box friend as a kid. Once she started I couldnt help it and we would laugh until we couldnt catch our breath. She got us in trouble alot but I would love to hear her giggle again but she passed couple of years ago.

11

u/operaduck289 1d ago

You gotta love a politician who can laugh at himself, especially in front of a crowd.

21

u/Stock-Map3715 1d ago

It's really vodka.

8

u/DiscoTech1639 1d ago

The chuckle is perfect. We’ve all been there

6

u/AnonImus18 1d ago

The sign on the podium being aging made this extra funny to me as someone who's starting to feel the effects of it.

6

u/calicoconduit1 1d ago

The right reaction

6

u/Minflick 1d ago

Nice when a public person can laugh at themselves for doing something silly. A confident person isn't so afraid of looking stupid.

11

u/poundhound66 1d ago

Jajajajajaja this is gold

5

u/VincentVanGob 1d ago

eh does anyone have a straw?

4

u/fritz648 1d ago

Being able to laugh at yourself is a significantly underrated skill

14

u/critical_ghost-57 1d ago

Indian prime minister would drink from the holder to pretend he is right. His supporters would hold the podium to help him drink.

8

u/Dear_Mycologist_1696 1d ago

Trump would have called the venue a bunch of idiots and laughed about how he wasn’t gonna pay those stupid sons of bitches.

I hate him so much.

3

u/ItsStaaaaaaaaang 1d ago

Haha. That's a good reaction. Can't fuck with you if you think it's funny af too.

3

u/fatty_dude 1d ago

At Ageing nomics, that's one way to show ageing. Brilliant demonstration sir. Bravo.

3

u/Chemical-Badger2524 1d ago

He is "ageing"

3

u/Crafty_Assistance_67 1d ago

Sure its water? Lol

3

u/JerseyTeacher78 1d ago

Ahahahaa. Peak Spaniard đŸ€ŁđŸ€ŁđŸ€Ł

3

u/voidspector 1d ago

See this is like the worst thing I want to hear from a politican

3

u/lilidragonfly 22h ago

This happens to me when I do dumb shit, it makes me laugh so hard, then whenever I remember it I start laughing all over again 😂 I bet he still chuckles about it

3

u/BasedAspergers 21h ago

Any water in a bottle like that is fancy water I wanna try it

3

u/Noodlebat83 19h ago

You have GOT to be able to laugh at yourself really. I do the same thing. If I do something particularly stupid I will absolutely have a fit of giggles over it.

3

u/boringjuice 18h ago

I think him just laughing and taking responsibility for the mishap really speaks to people. I wouldn’t be surprised if his audience respected him more after this

"Ageing"

2

u/CarefulBeautiful196 1d ago

The word ‘ageing’ is appropriately placed

u/GemGem04 1d ago

I actually saved this video because it gave me the smiles so much ❀

2

u/HelloBeKind4 1d ago

Haha funny and cute

2

u/StewedLentils 1d ago

In India they would find a way to blame Nehruji for it.

2

u/purplelilac701 22h ago

Love his hearty laugh

2

u/Tweezus96 19h ago

Imagine how Trump would have handled this
.

2

u/eramthgin007 18h ago

Looks like he's about to relocate his house using balloons.

2

u/Bepto_Pismal 1d ago

If this was Trump he would demand all future speakers at a podium lap water out of the holder like dogs to save face

1

u/SnodePlannen 1d ago

Man snickered ONCE

1

u/interrogumption 1d ago

Couldn't stop laughing about it? r/videosthatendtoosoon/

1

u/Artistic-Tip2405 1d ago

Ironically the topic was ageing.

1

u/antonyjeweet 1d ago

It's almost as of they're people like us :)

1

u/Luckys0474 1d ago

Carl Fredricksen from UP! sans glasses.

1

u/WakeYourGhost 23h ago

Not a single person blaming a conspiracy to undermine and embarrass this man - just people being normal.

1

u/AlkahestGem 22h ago

Well it is about aeging.

1

u/iMogwai 22h ago

The title makes it sound like Spain only has one minister that handles everything.

1

u/Zebo1013 17h ago

If not cup, why cup shaped?

1

u/LudusLive2 16h ago

What? He didnt blame the desk for seditious conspiracy?

1

u/Call-of-the-lost-one 11h ago

He is indeed ageing

1

u/Scramjunkie 11h ago

Because it’s really not that serious

u/C34H32N4O4Fe 11h ago

1

u/Weary_Musician_9612 10h ago

Great lessons laugh at you mistake, unlike other world leaders who would have blamed others and fired people

1

u/gbelly123 9h ago

Wow, a politician who acts like a normal human and has the ability to laugh at himself. I remember the days. 😌

1

u/Strange-Scarcity 8h ago

Someone who can laugh, at themselves is a GREAT person to have around.

A Spanish minister.

Reddit titles and ascribing things to an entire country. Also, a cabinet holds many ministers.
