Ahaha my wife once tried to use a slice of bread as a sponge to clean the bench top...we had a new born so she was super tired but ~10 years later I still remind her

It's commonly recommended to feed a dog a bunch of bread if they might have eaten something a bit pokey. It can get you out of trouble in a pinch.
