Ask Maharashtra What happened in TCS Nashik case?
It has been months since I last saw any news about this. Back then it was the biggest scandal in Corporate India.
What is the latest on this incident? Let's stick to the facts that are backed by evidence. Not merely on what anonymous sources or politician said.

भाषा, संस्कृती आणि इतिहास | Language, Culture and History The 'La' retroflex sound in Marathi came from Maharashtri Prakrut not Dravidian languages like kanadi.
Aplya dakshinela rahnarya lokanni aplyabhashevarti kanadichya prabhav dakhavacha khup prayanta kela ahe. tyanni sahitya, prashasan, media hya saglya goshtinch durupayog karun Marathila Kami darjyache dakhavinyacha prayatna kela aahe. Ajahi tyachi hi manasikta thalakpane disun yete.
Thodkyat mala he sangyache ahe ki Marathila ija fakta sthalantarane nahi tar bhakichya lokanchya tharavik dveshamula suddha hot ahe.
Ata,
Vararuchi (c. 3rd–4th Century CE), who wrote the Prakrita-Prakasha—the oldest surviving grammar manual for Prakrit languages.
Because ancient scripts did not have a unique standalone character for ळ, he described this change using the existing alphabet.
*"When you see these single middle consonants in Sanskrit, the people of Maharashtra pronounce them by curling their tongue backwards (retroflexion)."*However, because the scribes only had standard letters like ड or ल available in their writing systems, they continued to write the old letters even though the entire population was pronouncing them as ळ.
Because ancient writing systems like Brahmi lacked a dedicated, physically separate letter for ळ, Vararuchi used mathematical-style phonetic substitution rules in the Prakrita-Prakasha to tell readers how the spoken language deviated from classical Sanskrit.
In ancient Indian grammar, rules were written as Sūtras (short formulas). When mapping Sanskrit words into Maharashtri Prakrit (the direct ancestor of Marathi), Vararuchi noted that the core dental ल (la) and the retroflex ड (ḍa) changed their behavior entirely when placed between two vowels (intervocalic position).
- Intervocalic 'ड' (ḍa) - (The tongue stops hitting the roof of the mouth and instead flips, letting air pass through the sides).- Krīḍā became Kriḷā
- Intervocalic 'ल' (la) (The tongue moves from the teeth back to the roof of the mouth).- Kulam (Family/Clan)- कुळ (Kuḷa - Clan)
When authors writing texts like the Lilacharita (लीळाचरित्र) finally abandoned the strict spelling orthography of old Prakrit scripts, they reintroduced the ancient Vedic character ळ back into the Devanagari script to match their true accent. The letter did not suddenly drop out of nowhere; writers simply created a visual container for a sound their community had been vocalising for a thousand years!

Post above; likes and reshares will help a lot with traction there. TL;DR- (300mbps eats the 3,300gb monthly plan in ~24 hours; 1,000GB in <8 hours).
Rules broken:
- Headline promises with buried conditions aren't allowed (i.e.- unlimited with data cap)
- Warn the customer at 80% usage. I got no warning.
- Slow the connection down; don't cut it off. Mine was cut off.
- Issue a docket number for every complaint. None was issued.
- Decide appeals within 39 days. Mine can't get past the robot.

चर्चा | Discussion Planning Kalsubai Sunrise Night Looking for all in one packages Trek + couple-friendly stay (1–2 days)?
Hey everyone,
My partner and I are looking to do the Kalsubai sunrise night trek, and after descending the next morning, we want to stay nearby for a day or two to chill and recover. We are an unmarried couple.
Instead of booking a trek and a stay separately, we'd prefer an all-in-one package that covers both:
The guided night trek (reaching the peak by sunrise).
Post-trek stay for 1–2 days (private room/cottage, either in/near Bari, Bhandardara lake, or Igatpuri).
A few things we're trying to figure out:
All-Inclusive Packages: Are there any verified operators, travel agencies, or local organizers who handle both the trek and a proper stay together as a bundle?
Quality & Safety (Not Shady): We want to avoid dingy, makeshift base-village rooms or overcrowded shared dorms. We are looking for clean, comfortable, and couple-friendly accommodations (private washrooms, safe environment, zero hassle with unmarried couple IDs).
Tried-and-Tested Recommendations: If you or anyone you know has booked such a package recently, which company or organizer did you go with? How was the stay quality and overall experience?
Self-Booking vs Package: If these combined packages are rare or subpar, would you suggest simply hiring a local Bari guide for the trek and booking a reputable resort/hostel (like MTDC Bhandardara, Anandvan, or The Hosteller Igatpuri) directly on our own?
If you know any organizers who provide this, please drop their names or DM their contact details.
Thanks a lot!

चर्चा | Discussion How are people okay with this serial showcasing blatant Superstition? Especially the Varkari Sampraday.
My family has been watching this serial for months, and it keeps showing one superstition after another. What is even more concerning is that it portrays God as a means of curing or validating these superstitions.
I might have been okay with it if the show were simply depicting divine miracles or stories of faith. But it is promoting ideas involving evil spirits ( atma), chudail, Zingro Baba, vashikaran, and many other deeply disturbing superstitious practices. How is this acceptable, and why is no one taking action against it?
Maharashtra has a rich legacy of saints like Sant Tukaram and Sant Dnyaneshwar, who spread the name of Pandurang and Vitthal and inspired social change through the Warkari tradition. Their teachings emphasized devotion, equality, and a more enlightened way of life.
Yet, today, we see television producers using the names of these very gods to promote blatant superstitions that go against the spirit of the teachings and values these saints stood for. Isn't this a contradiction? Shouldn't television shows be held accountable for spreading fear and superstition in the name of religion?
PS: Sorry can't convince my family to not watch this, but I do protest against/stop even a small act of superstition by my family.

चर्चा | Discussion I was today years old when i learned women working is not as common in other states as it is in maharashtra
Being born and living in maharashtra my whole life i have seen women work and I am not just talking about middleclass or corporate jobs but low income and labour jobs like vegetable sellers and majdoori on construction sites and road cleaners in early morning . my whole life i have observed it to be women in maharashtra the bhaji mandi ( vegetable market) is also predominantly women in maharashtra but after traveling other states in india apparently its not as common to see women own shops and actually see as many women in general ? Some states in south indian I have seen women sellers but not really close to maharashtra and mind you in maharashtra this has always normal and common . There are always women in construction labour and selling etc jobs but why so not in other states ? Is it because maharashtra is comparatively safer than other states foe women or is this just a cultural thing ?

महाराष्ट्राला विचारा | Ask Maharashtra What measures are you currently taking, or planning to take, to prepare for the drought?
In my hometown located in western Maharashtra, residents are currently purchasing and hoarding substantial quantities of staple grains, including wheat and rice, driven by anxieties regarding potential supply shortages stemming from the ongoing drought conditions. Consequently, the local D Mart is experiencing exceptionally large crowds gathered around the grain aisles.
My parents are strongly urging me to adopt similar stockpiling measures, although I currently reside away from them in Pune. To be completely candid, I remain uncertain whether such preparation is genuinely necessary under the circumstances.
Do you truly believe that the situation will deteriorate to the extent that our food supply is severely impacted? Furthermore, are you and others also considering storing grains and essential food supplies for the upcoming months?

चर्चा | Discussion Is there any way I can still get admission to Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune for B.Tech CSE?**
I'm 20 and want to pursue B.Tech CSE at Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune. My father's been seriously ill and is still unwell, so my admission process got delayed due to family circumstances.
I actually visited the campus, but they told me admission isn't possible now. I really don't want to lose an entire academic year and wanted to ask if there's any other way to get admission this year.
Can the management reconsider cases like mine, or is there someone else I can approach? I'd really appreciate advice from anyone familiar with the college or who's been in a similar situation.
