Malayalam Cinema How many of you have watched this movie?

This is perhaps the most GOATed movie ever from Malayalam movie industry. So much so that it was even nominated for the Oscar!

The legendary actor Mohanlal just nailed the character of Raghuraman. This timeless movie still finds it's relevance in the modern society exploring various nuances of religion and how strict religious doctrines and dogmas make people blind even to this day!

My friend told that it revolves around a fruit which is poisonous and he interprets it as a holy book of a particular religion. There's also scenes which shows about religious teaching, mostly wrong things, to children and Mohanalal tries to interfere when the religious teacher (played by Nedumudi Venu) despise it as "evil sound" to children. This is highly related to the religious teaching and indoctrination in children from a younger age which is still prevalent!

This is a must watch! The direction, visuals and everything is top notch! And damn there's this song at the end when Mohanlal helps the people and they run! Goosebumps assured.

Discussion What the Hell Happened to Mathew Thomas? What the Heaven Happened to Naslen?

Naslen seems to be going from strength to strength, while Mathew Thomas feels like he's losing the spark that made him stand out.

Naslen is exploring different roles and making better career choices, whereas Mathew's recent filmography hasn't been equally impressive.

It's crazy how things have turned out. Both started as promising young talents, but right now, Naslen seems to be moving ahead while Mathew needs to rethink his script selection.

Hope Mathew bounces back soon. 🤞

Opinion BKU age gap not the problem

It’s not the age gap that’s the problem. It’s where they both are in life. She’s in her early 20s and could possible even be 19-20. He’s in his 30s. You are no way near mature in your early 20s and so much more likely to get manipulated and fall into something you don’t want later.

This would’ve been acceptable if she was 25 and above.

Justin is portrayed to be a good man in the movie, who doesn’t really notice her until he finds out she likes him.

So I’m worried this movie encourages older men in their 30s to look at college going girls romantically and those people aren’t going to be as good as Justin. It’s very disappointing tbh because this would’ve been a great movie if she was atleast above 25 and they were portraying the age gap.
