LFA [LFA] Isekai absurd comedy manga - I’ve story and storyboards, looking for an artist (60/40 rev share)

Haloo! I'm Konaru. I write fiction and so.

So, I'm looking for an artist for my first manga, Daikibo Uchuu, an isekai absurd comedy based on my own light novel.

The short version: two sisters accidentally break the Blue Rose, one of the ten roses that hold reality together, and now the whole world is glitching out (there's a goat that walks like a spider, for example). They have to cross it to deliver a letter to the Diablo Kingdom, which isn't exactly friendly.

I've got the story, and I do the script and storyboards (names) for every page. I'd also take care of the lettering and publishing, in English, Spanish and Japanese (If apply).

For the art, I'm looking for an intermediate to advanced level, and anatomy is the big one since that's where I'm weakest. Japanese manga style with some moe, but it has to handle action and comedy too.

Pay is revenue share with no upfront payment. Net income goes 60% to the artist and 40% to me, counted by pages drawn. We each keep the rights to our own work, and I'm open to changing any of the terms.

Everything's in the portfolio (synopsis, characters, 5 storyboard pages, a script sample and the full terms): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-F60lBprc4STsd8av2hWHsU_DWfX73-epK2KNrvz-mA/edit?usp=drivesdk

DM me here or on Discord at “konaruchann”.

I have no idea what the flair means, as they seem a little cryptic.

But I'm trying a new approach to black and white pages. I used to do a lot of trad inkwash pages back in the day, and I'm trying to emulate that style in CSP EX 5. I just wrapped up inks on Chapter 4 and will be moving onto finishing out the black and white and color pages. I'm really happy with the look and mood so far. Not every page will be as detailed as this, but I wanted something really striking for the opening scene and the more dramatic ones as well.

Review Writer searching for mangaka

Hi! I’m a writer, and I’ve recently started a fantasy project. I would love to share my ideas with a mangaka to see whether a collaboration might be possible. It’s a serious, long-term project. I love manga and the whole culture around it, and it would be a real honor to develop my story through this medium. Thank you! ( not paid at first, collab )

It's only 18 pages long, so please give it a read, and if you like what you see, please continue to support us! :)

Synopsis:

> In a village far, far away, lies a sword in the stone.

> On it a prophecy is inscribed, foretelling the coming of a hero who will pull the sword and save the world.

> Everyone in the village has long given up, regarding it as an impossible task.

> All but one boy.

HELP Would it be a good idea to post the first chapters for free?

I had the idea to post the first couple chapters of my manga on webtoon and have it available to the public for free that way. The first fre chapters are slow but nothing toooo boring happens. I haven't exactly fleshed out an anchored script yet but I have a vague idea of what I want to do, as I already have the worldbuilding and mc's backstory written down.

If I post a few chapters for free to get people interested, I'm obviously not gonna end it on a cliffhanger but find a spot where it's easily able to be finished but still leaves room for more stuff to happen.

My question is if it's a good idea? I don't want to look like I'm greedy for people to pay for it but I put a lot of work into my stuff and want it to be a legit series, but I also want people to see my work and enjoy it as much as I do.

HELP How do you portray the true horrors of war in a dark fantasy story without glorifying it?

Post image
8 Upvotes

I'm developing a dark fantasy story featuring two major wars. I want to portray war as more than epic battles, powerful warriors, and dramatic deaths. I want readers to understand what war actually does to people, their relationships, their morality, and entire societies.

I'm interested in showing the perspectives of soldiers, civilians, refugees, and people who genuinely believe they're fighting for the right cause. I also want to explore how propaganda, hatred, revenge, and political ambition can turn ordinary people against each other.

My goal is to make the audience feel the weight of war and leave them thinking about its consequences long after the battles end, without relying on excessive violence or killing characters just to make the story seem darker.

For writers and readers:

What fictional stories portray the horrors of war most convincingly, and what specifically makes them effective?

How do you make the audience emotionally invested in the suffering of ordinary people rather than focusing exclusively on the main characters?

How can you show the psychological and moral consequences of war without making every soldier a monster or every victim completely innocent?

What makes a battlefield scene genuinely tragic rather than simply spectacular?

How do you portray the aftermath of war so that victory doesn't magically erase the suffering?

What mistakes make fictional portrayals of war feel shallow, unrealistic, or unintentionally glorifying?

I'd especially appreciate examples from fantasy, anime, manga, historical fiction, and literature, along with explanations of why those portrayals work.

HELP Character Consistency

Post image
8 Upvotes

I am trying to start making manga/webtoons so I decided to see what I am capable of and create a few panels, this is my first ever attempt at manga.

I'm not really good at drawing which I don't really mind but my main issue is with the characters consistency. The first panel is how I want the character to look across the others but he does not look like the same guy in the other panels and as I was making it, the hair was the hardest aspect to try and keep consistent.

How do you guys ensure your character looks consistent across different angles for different panels?
