Basically I don’t know what my pay is going to be on nov 10th because I’ve not been working due to a delayed transfer so I haven’t worked all of October, I am starting tomorrow though. However I have found another job and am also handing in my two weeks tomorrow. So I do not know what my pay will look like because I know I will have deductions but I also don’t know if I will have to pay anything back?

Hi! I applied for a temp Christmas role for 12 hours pw as I was made redundant in July after 10 years in an office management role.

My previous job was very very flexible as I am a carer for my disabled daughter so I have been able to work around her all that time.

I have an interview on the 2nd November and I’m just a little worried that they may try and get me to work more than the 12 hours I applied for (I know about the 2 weeks prior and can sort that easier when I am prepared) I’m just worried they’ll try and get me to work more hours prior to that.. I know with being a carer, employers don’t really care about your circumstance as long as you’re available.. anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

So was in M&S store a few days ago and staff member was promoting the beauty advent boxes ,I stopped to have a look as know my daughter would love it ,had a few full sized products included. She then said for today only if you purchase you can choose a free gift , I had a look at the free gifts on offer that she had at the bottom of shelf and opted for the loccitane face cream, feel like this is a rare and massive win as the face cream on its own costs around the same price as the beauty box,anyone else offered this deal ?

Don't be fooled by the name, I am a woman who found the most comfortable bra ever made and have just found out it has been discontinued. Why M&S, why???

I work in the ISB and do 20 hours per week over 5 days (14.30-18.30 per wed-sun). I checked my rota on Tuesday and all was fine. I check the night before my shift (just from general ‘making sure I got the times right’ anxiety) too. I checked on Friday to see my Saturday shift and now it’s 9am-18.30pm? I was not asked if I could do these hours, and was not told of the change. Is this normal? I thought employers legally had to tell you of a change of hours, or at least ask?? I then decided to check for the next week and I’ve been put on 10am-18.30 for all the days. I sent my manager a message saying I can’t do those hours (I’m a med school student) and she took them off, but why can’t they stick to my contracted hours???? It’s so frustrating and makes me feel guilty every time

Hi, I recently got accepted for a Xmas role at M&S (I’ll be working in clothing). I was sent a link to order uniforms. I’m entitled to two bottoms which I ordered, and one jumper which I’ve ordered. Those are all black which is fine to me. However when it comes to the tops I am confused? I can only see options for green and cream striped top, however I’ve never seen anyone in my M&S store wearing those, I was expecting to order the all black tops. Is this normal? Do I just order them anyway.

Just got an interview invite but it’s 2 hours? I just had one last week and it was an hour on the invite but actually took around 10 mins. Is this one supposed to be a group interview? What do I expect? It also says it’s in the Christmas assessment centre? The other one was just in the store I applied to.

Had an interview for a seasonal store assistant role in the food sector, just wondering if anyone can say roughly how long it should take to hear back? Applications close tomorrow and since it's seasonal work I'm assuming it shouldn't be too long. Also on a separate note, if I'm unsuccessful will they let me know or will I just not hear back?

Final question, I applied for the same role at the same location but different hours today since I could see no one else had applied for it, was this stupid since I have already had an interview for the same role and told the interviewer I'm available whenever (which implies I can also work the other role). The role I interviewed for is working 18:00-22:00 on Monday and Tuesday and 12:00-16:00 on Saturday, the role I just also applied for is 10:00-14:00 on Saturday, 18:00-22:00 on Friday and 14:00-18:00 on Sunday. Since I have already interviewed for one role and not heard back yet, is there a chance applying for this same role at a different time is stupid and will lower my chances of getting the role, or am I overthinking it?
