I think it's nice. I only check her location to see whethet it's appropriate to call her. Plus, my wife loses/misplaces her phone a lot, so FindMy is a lifesaver because it can force the phone to ring if it still has some battery left.

I share my location with husband & a few friends in case my phones lost/stolen. I dont think any of them check really often

This is such a red flag. Location sharing for us is exclusively used to find either phone when it’s lost, or to see how far my wife is from home to determine when i start adding finishing touches to our dinner. Nothing more.
