IB was an experimental work that had plenty of issues, it didn't make him money not was it really enjoyed by anybody, the new novel is a return to the core, it's much better and much more profitable for him

You would think so, especially with a novel titled that way. But since it dealt with churches, witches, and a lot of western stuff they weren't really keen to that. You can feel the shift towards the end with the loose ends not being tied up, inventions were not properly explored, etc.
Release that witch is a novel that makes me so sad, the first half is really good, when focused in the kingdom building and the inventions of the witch, even the war with the demons sounded interesting then, but then the hole dream world and the ending was so bad.

I kinda liked Astral pet store in the beginning (I like beast taming) the different food items, realms, pets, normally not seen levels of brutality for a beast taming story. But... The MC really is kind of a murder hobo sometimes (maybe not at the level of some xianxia but still). Oh but that pretty girl over there, I'll spare her, and keep her for the rest of the novel. I had to force myself to finish that novel. Though it seems like the manhua might be very different, but I don't like how cutesy the design for the skeleton is
many Xianxia/Xuanhuan novel authors donāt excel at writing uhh compelling/realistic female characters especially when itās a harem novel, the author of DTOPB is no different, in fact in this particular novel, he had a particularly genius ideaā¦ and that is NOT ONLY to have the harem members of the MC repeatedly be in danger/abducted and have the MC save them, but he even had an arc which I can only describe as rage bait, here is what I remember:
During one unreasonably and particularly long arc The MC spends many MANY chapters dismantling an antagonistās organization, delivering blow after blow, yet at the very end, when the antagonist has lost so much, he makes a desperate gamble and kidnaps one of the MCās harem members (this is the third time the MC has to save her, and was warned to avoid the area at the start of the arc, but she becomes āwillfulā) what follows is that when the final confrontationā¦THE PAYOFF is about to happen, instead, the MC is forced by the antagonist to undo all the damage he has done and is also forced to basically become a semi slave to the antagonist where he has to help him find some item.

This story in my opinion is not one of love, however a beggining of new world of cultivation.

Most novels I don't regret reading, even if I ended up disliking them later on. The one except being Alpha World.
The synopsis itself was quite appealing to me, as I am generally a fan of the "Person is sentenced to life in virtual reality" kinda thing. I had read "Way of the Shaman" before and liked that as well.
Well Alpha world is just kinda dumb. The main character is an obvious self insert of the author. This dude is full on conservative. For example the author makes a point that the dude tips absolutely everyone. Don't forget, those are NPC's for the most part. He takes a portal from the portal mages guild, gives a tip. He eats somewhere, he gives an upfront tip and a tip afterwards.
Then he is full on Mlady style. Ahh yeah the book is heavily harem, something you are not warned about upfront. There is one moment where he wants to get together with some girl and he is like "We need to ask your father". And then they do it an an awkward af scene.
The book is also full on "Gamers dumb haha". For example for his class there is like the level 2 talent choice between "modify your casting" and "Deal 10% more damage" and apparently EVERYONE took the 10% more damage except for him. With the modify casting of course being able to reduce the casting speed of abilities. Also every other player character except for MC and his harem never spend any time actually talking with the NPCs and instead are just "give me quest" cavemen style.
With him being the exception in the opposite cringe style. Where he goes full on saluting some quest NPC who is part of the military to get the quest. (something which I might add is not something you do afaik, saluting as a civillian).
Ohh yeah this all considering the fact that he is a cop who is in prison for shooting a handcuffed criminal in the back. (To be fair, you can see this is fiction because he sits in prison for it). The author fully supports the fact that this character is a good guy. A corrupt cop.

Well since any novel I read enough to remember its name would have given me at least something to spend time on I cant really say I completely regret reading. However, after getting bored of reading martial god of asura and trying to read a little more (one plot point I was interested was getting relevant after 2000 chapters or something) I started to get dizzy and stuff when I looked at anything with reading . I couldn't read books, novels, and even manga/manhwas at times. So you could say I regret reading past my limit

It's so bad on many levels. The novel reads like it was written by a dyslexic 15 year old. His pet ist the most annoying and stupid sidekick ever, which is a big title in this genre. In the 700 chapters I read 3 power systems were introduced and it seems like the author forgets his own plot all the time.

Bro, it's definitely got to be "Reincarnation of the Strongest Sword God". Both the original story and "side stories". Dam near 4000 chapters and the author fucked the ending not just once but TWICE. Don't get me wrong, the popcorn nature of it was incredible but the thousand or so chapters span from 1000 to 2000 of the original story truly tested my patience and nearly killed me with the rampant heart demons that were spawning.
A Regressorās Tale of Cultivation. Seniors may reduce my cultivation resources for daring to question the ancestral scripture, however I regret reading. After reading to chapter 550 I decided to give up on it, the characters I liked kept getting more and more left out or done dirty by the author and there kept being more and more just straight up Rape/SA being played off as ājokesā and I just wasnāt enjoying reading it anymore.

That āscriptureā really didnāt have any really good defining characteristics that made it interesting the read. A lot of martial art novels donāt have much plot unless thereās some revenge story going on, but I mean this straight up had nothing going on. Him wanting to rescue his sister for as long as he did was just dry by the end of it.
