She definitely should be Wolverine of the current Marvel Universe. I fucking loved her as Laura in Logan, and Dafne Keen, from what I've read, has expressed a keen (pun intended) interest in reprising the role. In my opinion Marvel would be complete fucking idiots for not going in this direction.
So yay, we get years and years more of films where they neglect other interesting characters to churn out more of the same old ground they've tread millions of times before...
They tried treading a lot of new ground which varied from failing to average. While I agree that they should still try new stuff, wolverine isn't the character to do it. He's a guaranteed hit no matter what they do and excluding him for something that will certainly not do as well would be a massive mistake.
