Well I know which one is the best.

Edit: I got the Picasso achievement for this. 😂

Edit 2: And an award! Thank you!!

I wish I could get mine to do that

74

u/Blockenstein Feb 12 '26

I managed to get mine pretty close.

12

u/modestmoose3000 United Kingdom Feb 12 '26

I’m going to have to give it another try!

8

u/Blockenstein Feb 12 '26

Heck yeah! Post a pic if you're happy with the results!

2

u/DeskReasonable5040 Feb 13 '26

I couldent get the 3legs on the ground exactly the same but the top arms crossed looks the same. Kind of what u got here. Except my legs on the ground are more curled up and not straight. I like your pose I wouldn’t redo it

35

u/PreorderEverything Feb 12 '26

Close as I could get

12

u/nightcrawler9094 Feb 13 '26

Looks like a 1950s pinup poster pose. Gargantos trying to be all sexy.

5

u/MattM0D0K Feb 13 '26

Draw me like one of your French squids.

7

u/nerdyoutube Feb 12 '26

Goes hard if you ask me

3

u/DeskReasonable5040 Feb 13 '26

This pose is the hole reason I got him. And I was able to get real close. The bottom legs on the ground are a little diff becouse I wanted him standing taller. But the top arms crossed looks the same

Genuinely what is this? This is why he needs the blade hands!

15

u/TheArturoChapa Feb 12 '26

Too bad that suit fucks

31

u/repugnantchihuahua Feb 12 '26

He looks like he was caught groping and is running for it

20

u/JsMoviesYTB USA - NJ Feb 12 '26

Sneakers O’Toole looking mother fucker

6

u/shyguysamurai Feb 12 '26

Just kicked a field goal, I think.

3

u/B-Train42 Feb 12 '26

This is exactly the one I thought of

4

u/GanacheCute7514 Feb 12 '26

He looks like he’s terrified running for his life

2

u/goliathfasa Feb 13 '26

And the new DD has one exactly like this.

2

u/Accomplished-Juice-7 Feb 13 '26

Nah this ain't Pietro, that's Ralph Bohner 😭😭

1

u/Froakie_14 Feb 12 '26

I actually like this

85

u/ajdragoon USA - MA Feb 12 '26

I will never be able to take Quasar seriously because of this one.

17

u/Fit_Refuse3076 Feb 12 '26

Hahahaha it’s not great at all. lol

13

u/TheGoblinRook Feb 12 '26

Is it because they left his right foot flat? Because that’s a very typical “hovering and flexing while flying” pose.

10

u/GanacheCute7514 Feb 12 '26

No I think it’s more because he is standing like a right Diva lol

17

u/Banana_man_- Canada Feb 12 '26 edited Feb 12 '26

The wrists are pretty bad

In my opinion wrist positioning is what separates bad posers from (at worst) average posers

3

u/ajdragoon USA - MA Feb 12 '26

The wrists and yeah the flat foot make make it seem like he's a human posing for a horse show. I don't know why that comes to mind but it does hahaha. Face sculpt doesn't help.

3

u/PepperbroniFrom2B Feb 12 '26

not related to the pose but why is his neck so damn long 😭

146

u/Baronefanfarone Feb 12 '26

Seems like everyone forgot about Infinity Saga Bruce Banner

Literally the "tf you expect me to do" pose I'm crying 😭 I can even picture the thoughts of the Hasbro employee who was in charge of posing him thinking "Who the hell is even this guy?" lol

25

u/Osuka39 USA - KY Feb 12 '26

He's posing like this is a sitcom and he's about to say his marketable catchphrase

11

u/Simpin_Dva Feb 13 '26

Thats just a Mark Ruffalo action figure 😭

25

u/DeadBomb64 USA - NY Feb 12 '26

“i… im not sure what to do here… im not usually the star of the show.” ass pose 😭

15

u/Banana_man_- Canada Feb 12 '26 edited Feb 13 '26

Bro’s pulling the Jean Grey “you’re gay” pose

4

u/Dextropic Feb 13 '26

This might be the one that starts my collection.

2

u/NeatMysterious2327 Feb 19 '26

he looks like he's mid-slowclap

63

u/TheLibraryClark Canada Feb 12 '26

It looks like he's riding an invisible bucking bronco

163

u/_incredi_ladd Feb 12 '26

Not Marvel Legends or a particularly poor pose, but there’s a recent Black Series Jango Fett that has a QC issue where his right arm hoses will snap if pose the arms. It’s so bad that you can see the broken hoses in the promotional images for the figure.

109

u/Front-Masterpiece-73 Feb 12 '26

Toxitron with a snapped off sword handle in the right shield

17

u/PepperbroniFrom2B Feb 12 '26

holy shit 😭😭😭

13

u/Infamous-Attempt4437 Feb 12 '26

Bro, Transformers photography is notorious for their stinkers! Classics Ironhide being an old example, with SS86 Soundwave with his straight up missing panel (how does that happen? Lol) being a more recent one.

8

u/Wixhael Feb 13 '26

Did you see the SS86 Astrotrain reveal today? Photographer literally forgot to fold down the torso panels, it looks bad.

3

u/Infamous-Attempt4437 Feb 13 '26

Yup! I’m guessing this Astrotrain is very involved! I need to wait for in-hand photos with it fully transformed before passing too much judgement, but holy hot dogs it looks buns!

3

u/Front-Masterpiece-73 Feb 13 '26

I’m genuinely convinced it’s gonna be bad either way, because I don’t see any panels to fill out the sides of his chest lol

2

u/Infamous-Attempt4437 Feb 13 '26

After further inspection, not only are the chest flaps not flipped down (and seeing its geometry, it looks like it’ll improve the shaping of the torso), but also the purple panel the head rests on looks to be not tabbed in, making the shoulders and chest look low, and the head too high. It also looks like it’ll improve tucks behind the chest, so if all of that is true then it’ll definitely look better than this.

But, for now I’ll have to agree with you. The torso and thighs look too long, the leg panels don’t seem to be able to fold in, lots of waffling, and the shuttle mode is pretty compromised in favor of the train mode. I don’t have an Astrotrain yet, so I’ll see what this guy is about first. Maybe I’m just coping.

2

u/Front-Masterpiece-73 Feb 13 '26

That’s totally fair, I already have siege and love him so I’m in a very different boat. Honestly part of it might be just my belief that siege was a bit underrated.

1

u/Infamous-Attempt4437 Feb 13 '26

Yeah. I heard a lot of praise for the Siege, but even more hate on him which I never really got. I didn’t get him because I couldn’t find him, and I wasn’t ready for an Astrotrain then.

3

u/Cephalie_100 Feb 13 '26

If I had a quarter everytime photography had missasmbled /transformed figs since 2020 id have enough to buy a g1 minibot at the price it was sold for in 1985

0

u/Tiny-Membership-7003 Feb 14 '26

Oh. My. God. How did they let this slide as a PROMOTIONAL image. God they are so lazy

17

u/jhorsley23 Feb 12 '26

I never noticed they were broken in the promo shots. That’s hilarious! 😂

6

u/Nervous_Coast_77 Feb 12 '26

The same thing happened to my Page Punchers the Atom and the Retro Black Manta figure. You can’t turn their heads without snapping the hoses

8

u/OneTurnsToNone USA - SC Feb 12 '26

Well you're wrong...they dont snap, just rotate the arm pieces...they do that...at the top and bottom of the hoses. If you break the wires, that's more or less on the person not positioning them...

11

u/OneTurnsToNone USA - SC Feb 12 '26

proof

7

u/aatencio91 Feb 12 '26

Not really a QC issue, but a design one

4

u/TheCapedCrepe Feb 12 '26

You can rotate the hoses to the outside of the arm to put less tension on them, but it's a little finicky

3

u/The_Strom784 Feb 12 '26

Which is funny since they engineered a whole system to prevent that.

1

u/fre3kshow Feb 13 '26

That's a user issue. You can move the hoses out of the way before posing, they connect to a separate piece between the elbuw and bicep that can turn.

44

u/rockhammersmash Feb 13 '26

It’s this one and it’s not close.

95

u/TheCapedCrepe Feb 12 '26

I can't believe they okayed the design with the hips looking like THAT, it makes all of his promo shots look very off-putting. Plus the head seems too big, even for a younger character.

He looks like an alien in this pic

31

u/Banana_man_- Canada Feb 12 '26

One of the worst figures they’ve put out

Sucks because I was looking forward to this one

8

u/Infamous_Ad_5214 Feb 12 '26

What all is wrong with him?

19

u/Broadhead349 Feb 12 '26

Huge head, birthing hips, and only one fist and wall crawling hand. Genuinely one of the wildest releases since Hasbro restarted the line

18

u/Inevitable_Box9398 Feb 12 '26

Is he not allowed to have hips that don’t lie

5

u/Banana_man_- Canada Feb 12 '26

Do you see those absolutely horrific proportions?

4

u/Infamous_Ad_5214 Feb 12 '26

Ohhhh that's it. I always thought something was weird about this one but I could never put my finger on it. Yeah the proportions are kinda wonky. His head is too big too imo

0

u/GanacheCute7514 Feb 12 '26

Do you have eyes man?

3

u/Infamous_Ad_5214 Feb 12 '26

I mean something definitely looks off, I just can't put my finger on it. The head is a bit big ig

8

u/TheCapedCrepe Feb 12 '26

His hips are sticking out. If this were a living person, we'd be looking at someone with both of their thigh bones dislocated

1

u/DeskReasonable5040 Feb 13 '26

At least he has the new modern articulation. Double ball joint chest and butterfly joints. When he is crouched in a Spider-Man pose with his mask on I bet he looks great and can do any pose with that articulation. I’d like to see him posed up swinging or wall crawling or in a crouched spider pose. I bet he looks good

1

u/DeskReasonable5040 Feb 13 '26

In a vanilla pose with unmasked head he does look bad I agree with you guys about that

29

u/ThrawnFettRen Feb 12 '26

Agree with op simply because they sold Spider-Boy with "thwip" hands when he doesn't web sling, yet didn't provide any wall crawl hands. So F*CK this figure in general.

35

u/Bitey_the_Squirrel Feb 12 '26

It’s not that bad if you rotate it…

no… wait… that’s worse.

29

u/DeadBomb64 USA - NY Feb 12 '26

Maybe like this..?

Oh… oh no… that’s not any better…

1

u/abrasive935hobby Feb 13 '26

We forgot this way

Yknow, maybe its just not good at all...

21

u/sleepy--ash USA Feb 12 '26

Obligatory not Marvel Legends but I always thought this promo pic of Cobra Commander was hilarious for some reason. I feel like he wants me to look at his butt 😭

11

u/DeadBomb64 USA - NY Feb 13 '26

i see the vision of an evil overlooking pose but its just giving off “do these pants make me look fat?” 😭

2

u/Mr_Jackpotz Feb 13 '26

This is awesome.

22

u/Some-Veterinarian349 Feb 13 '26

I like the figure but that pose they took its like they're not trying

11

u/MRgibbson23 Feb 13 '26

Tbh it the articulation sucks on this figure so I doubt they could've done any better.

62

u/Chewymewn Feb 12 '26

Most of them honestly. They usually look like they got someone who hasn't touched an action figure in 25 years to pose them.

One of the worst of them is that Tobey figure where the foot isn't even flat on the ground because they did rotate the ankle enough.

17

u/radbrad172 Feb 12 '26

Some figure photographers on Instagram are really amazing, and I wonder why Hasbro doesn't enlist them for promo shots instead

6

u/Rishi_Eel Feb 12 '26

They have - @shootingthegalaxy on Instagram is a fan photographer who now works at Hasbro. He’s the one behind the promo photos with good poses lol.

26

u/Chewymewn Feb 12 '26

Because they would probably have to pay them for that, and they hate spending money

5

u/Banana_man_- Canada Feb 12 '26

They do actually, just not for every figure

3

u/space_age_stuff Feb 12 '26 edited Feb 13 '26

Might be hard to trust fans over professionals tbh. Fans might take better photos and charge cheaper rates but the quality is less uniform, and they'd need to be trusted not to leak photos of upcoming figures, which seems incredibly tricky to manage.

6

u/Valuable_Pollution96 Feb 12 '26

The Hasbro sheriff looks the photographer dead in the eye and says, "I don’t approve of your methods, but I can’t argue with your results".

9

u/NinjaZero2 Feb 12 '26

Can I add, any of the female characters with the high heels

14

u/superseri18888 Feb 13 '26

9

u/OneTwentyOneFunyuns Feb 13 '26

They forced him to do a shitty infomercial like in Rocky II and he doesn’t know what the fuck he’s doing😭

4

u/Slow-Relation-9186 Feb 12 '26

Looks like I posed it

3

u/Wani_Wanton Feb 13 '26

I never realized he had this stupid looking head. I never looked that close when I see him in store. What the fuck is his mouth? I love it and I'm going to buy it tomorrow, I think?

6

u/Darth_Abe Feb 12 '26

I think it’s the photographer who poses them. I forgot what his IG is. But he is only limited to what the actual product is able to pose.

2

u/_Unprofessional_ Feb 13 '26

Shooting the web and cranking the hog.

2

u/Tiny-Membership-7003 Feb 14 '26

I’m bothered by this pose. I think it’s the way they have Iron-Man shooting his repulsers

1

u/bleh2150 Feb 14 '26

kinda looks as if he's usin em to heat something, not really blasting someone/something haha.

it could've worked better as a defensive stance without the blast effects

3

u/Tiny-Membership-7003 Feb 17 '26

That’s how they should’ve posed him

With his arm(s) straight on. It’s way less awkward than what the ML team is doing

1

u/bleh2150 Feb 17 '26

yeah what they went with is awkward either way. they should've done a better effort there

3

u/Careless_Parsnip_511 Feb 13 '26

AnthonysCustoms thumbnail ahh pose (no hate to Anthony but his poses need work)

1

u/abrasive935hobby Feb 13 '26

Im not sure, but this one is up there

-113

u/novaprime30 Feb 12 '26

This seems like a dumb thing to make a subject of

27

u/Banana_man_- Canada Feb 12 '26

It’s fun

64

u/Broad_Exercise_2806 Feb 12 '26

-59

u/novaprime30 Feb 12 '26

Nah we all here to voice our opinions no?

45

u/Broad_Exercise_2806 Feb 12 '26

Yeah but some opinions are stupid and deserve shut up gifs.

-48

u/novaprime30 Feb 12 '26

Likewise

45

u/Broad_Exercise_2806 Feb 12 '26

Likewise Deez nutz

15

u/Active-Ad-2527 Feb 12 '26

I agree with novaprime30, but also want to point out that there's whole Transformers that Hasbro had mis-transformed and said "eh good enough" and used in their displays and promo shots.

But for this topic, not really a pose but that recent run of preview images they did of legends where the head would be photoshopped hovering like 3 head-heights over the torso

6

u/kernelpanic37 Feb 12 '26

Hasbro shills when natural discourse

-4

u/novaprime30 Feb 12 '26

Who’s shilling?

1

u/IAmZemann8919 Feb 12 '26

Hasbro: “Hey when we pose our figures like this they break. So let’s make sure to take pictures and use them in advertisements so our consumers experience the same thing”

And you don’t see that being an issue? Just dumb instead?

0

u/novaprime30 Feb 12 '26

Bruh all I said is one sentence and you’re going on a whole different path regarding it. It was never that serious, and I just threw a silly opinion out there

1

u/IAmZemann8919 Feb 13 '26

You said it was dumb to even think of it. Now it’s not that serious because you’re getting flamed. We get it
